there's a trade with the Phins in place for Gordon. We're supposedly giving up a 3rd?  ??? :boo

Ehhh...maybe I read that wrong. Don't know what we'd be giving up.  But Gunn is reporting that McCants is definitely aboard.

Didn't the Dolphins give a 3rd to acquire him? I can't imagine the Eagles doing the same maybe a 4th or a 5th.  The Eagles value picks that high way too much to give them up for a player of his caliber, if indeed true I would be shocked.

I don't think we even have a 6th rounder.  We traded it to the Cokeboys to get an extra 4th.
More Mahe please.

All's CSN said was "The Eagles could be close to trading for Dolphins RB Lamar Gordon. Miami is said to be asking for a 6th round pick for him".

MDS

Sure why not for a 6th.

Ima gona kill Andy for a 3rd.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

NO ONE reported a 3rd. SD Eagle was mistaken.

A 6th for Gordon doesn't seem to bad. Especially given the way that the team robed them in the Feeley trade.

Even if they pick up Gordon, I don't see him having any impact this year whatsoever. I think he'd just be an extra body in a worst case scenario. Going in to the regular season, I'm comfortable with who we have. If you need a reminder, just go to Ryan Moats' website www.ryanmoats.com and look at his highlight video. I've seen him in a few preseason games, and believe already he is a better back than Gordon.

I think Moats is fine too as a backup but you NEED a big back for short yardage and late game aka blowout games. Gordon for a 6th would be fine by me.

I don't think Gordon's size (6-1, 223) alone makes him a good short yardage back. From what I have seen and of Gordon, he lacks vision, break away speed, hands, and blocking ability. Again though, for a sixth pick, I am fine with picking him up, I still feel Dorsey would do a better job of the deal. If they bring him in, fine, I just don't think he'll amount to much.

I'd rather keep the draft pick and bring in Dorsey myself.
