Is the Price Right?

It's the same opinion over and over and over and over again.  We get it....now shut up or make more sense.

You are the one complaining. My goodness, take it like a man. I'm angry that the Eagles didn't even attempt to bring him in(as far as I know) and I'm going to rip on the Eagles until I'm no longer pissed about it. That is one of the things that makes forums useful. They are places to vent your frustrations and express that and your opinions. Seriously, man in your profile it says you are 34 farging years old and you can't handle some complaints?
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

I can't understand why you'd complain so mightily that the Eagles didn't sign a guy for $2 million that might not be able to crack the top 3 in the depth chart.  I guarantee they considered him and possibly even had some preliminary talks, but you don't pay $2 million to a WR on a one year contract.  That's more often a bust than a boom.

WEST is GOD

It's one year. If he doesn't work out then it doesn't hurt us. He's gone next year and we are way under the cap anyway.

Mccants is someone I've always kinda liked, but he doesn't know this system. Price does. That is the difference.

One year contracts don't hurt this team period. We are way under the cap, we can afford to sign a bust. We could've signed Price AND Mccants. If Price sucks then we cut him and use Mccants.

i think price is a lot more proven than greg lewis or reggie brown.  he had 2 very good years as a #2 for buffalo...sure, he never became the #1 atlanta wanted but he's certainly more proven/experienced than g-lew or brown.
just sayin'.

If Price chose the Cowboys over the Eagles then fine. I wouldn't have a problem with that. I just get the feeling that the Eagles didn't even have any serious talks with him about him coming here. My guess is they were casual talks and he would've came here if we offered what the Cowboys did.

Maybe, just maybe, Reid & Heckert didn't really like Price as a player.
More Mahe please.

You don't know how close the Eagles always end up cutting it.  I guarantee they will end up at just about $2m under the cap, just incase a desperate situation occurs.  They will re-sign/extend at least 2-3 guys this off-season and structure big chunks of that as roster bonuses so the cap hit after 2005 is not painful.

Saying that $2m is "nothing" this year is just foolish talk.  It shows a decidedly detached knowledge (or lack thereof) of managing the salary cap in the NFL.

You've been saying the same thing for a farging week.  Everyone knew it was going to be McCants...and recent Eagles history-- winning history-- projected the same.  I'm not the one complaining...I'm just the one sick of hearing you whine about just about everything this week.

Neither Price or McCants were more than prospective depth moves anyway.   You're pissed over a depth move?   Come on.  Haven't the Eagles been proven right in their personnel moves more often than not?  Just sit back and watch it unfold.  It's not like they're waiting for your approval anyway.

WEST is GOD

I'm not going to agree with that. 2 million dollars is not going to be the difference. Obviously the Cowboys didn't think it was going to be.'

Also last year I remember reading the Eagles were only 5 under at the season's beginning. 12 million to 5 is a big difference. I don't think the Eagles will be close to the cap this year.

You're wrong.

The Eagles always cut it closer than you'll ever hear about unless you actually bothered to pay attention.  They make quiet, small moves to advance salary into the current year, and they almost exclusively use roster bonuses to extend contracts.  It's really quite brilliant, as advertised.

Don't tell me how to be a fan. I'll respect your way of watching things unfold. I've never criticized you, even though I disagree with your sit back and be quiet demeanor. I'm not going to sit back and watch it unfold. I'm restless and I'm sick of not having parades. I'm not going to change so it's up to you to find out how to deal with it. When something is done that I don't agree with I'm going to let it be known. That is the way I'm a fan. When something is not done when I think it should have been then I am going to be angry. It's text, it's not audio. I think you can deal with complaining. Once the season starts you won't hear very much of it from me.

... and because they are so brilliant in managing the cap, they would figure out ways to clear up some room if need be. You aren't going to sell me on 2 million dollars being an issue.

I've said plenty of times before the only time I don't trust them is with receivers. I am one of the few who didn't care about not getting Sam Adams when we had Walker. I am one of the few that didn't complain about letting go of 2 pro bowl corners. I also didn't care about letting Hugh or Brian Mitchell go. I trust the Eagles except with receivers. As for your other comments, it's the same as I just said. I'm not going to change as a fan or how I go about voicing my opinions. I'm sorry if it bothers you, but that's too bad.
