Primeau.  Who by the way is most likely not returning this regular season.  Ed,  my buddy and i were trying to figure out if Primeau retires lets say a week after the olympics.  Can he come back in the post season to play.  I know there arent any playoff cap #'s to worry about, and would that leave the door open for one more move down the road?

I haven't checked the new injury system in the NHL, but I think they have something similar to the NFL's Injured Reserve that keeps a player out for the year but frees up his cap space for that season.  If he's out for good, he isn't coming back.

i always thought brindamour was like 55 when he was here, i cant believe hes still playing. and doing well.

and hes currently captianing the 05-06 eastern conference champions

forsberg out again with groin problems...i stick by my earlier assesment that he has more than a groin problem...most likely abdominal problems which very well could be a sports hernia

I thought Justin Williams was traded for Kapanen? Or was Kapanen acquired before they traded away Williams?

They need to shut Forsberg down until after the Olympic break. And Peter needs to regretfully tell his country that he will not be able to play in the Olympics because of the groin problems.

He HAS to be healthy for them to make a run. When he is not out there the difference is night and day. I know guys want to play for their country and all that, but when you're getting paid millions to win a cup I feel that you have an obligation to the team who is actually paying you.

Williams was moved for Danny Markov.   I agree with ya phreak Forberg just needs to shut it down for 3 weeks and get healthy.  Johnsson withdrew from the olympics du2 his unknown concussion like symptoms.  Joni needs to shut it down also.  Kappannen was playing D last night.

unless you play basketball...or baseball...or most other sports.

Rome

Esche had 10 saves on 15 shots last night?

Wonderful.  Remind me again why he's a Cup-caliber goalie?

:-D

any updates on Branko Ed?

That was a nasty as spill.  The way he got up reminded me of when Kapanen got taken into the boards in the playoffs two years ago.
