Yeah, but I'll bet he does anyway. He's a crazy rebel like that.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Esche had a bad night but let's be real.  He was among the top goalies in the league at the end of the '04 season.  He gave up 2 or 3 soft goals last night but it seemed like that may have been due to not being used to the new restrictions on pad sizes, which he'll overcome given time.  My only worry with him is that his game skills got rusty during the lockout--a lot of guys in the league kepy sharp by playing in Europe or the AHL, but I don't believe Esche did.

Last night sucked but we're still among the 2 or 3 favorites for the Cup.

according to who?

esche would be lucky to make the top ten best goalies...in fact im sure he wouldnt...put a top flight goaltender behind the flyers team and they would all but be assured of winning the cup

Rome

According to whom...   :boom

Anyway, he was a goalie for one of the teams in the conference finals.  That means he was one of the top four goalies in the league at the time.

You don't get to the conference finals in the NHL with a sieve for a goaltender.  You just don't Igster.

Esche is a serviceable goalie. He does allow the occasional soft goal but guess who else was notroious for that? Patrick Roy. And correct me if I'm wrong, but he won a Cup or two in his time. Esche is better than average and is perfectly capable of winning this team a Cup so stop pissing on each others' shoes.

Esche is a serviceable goalie

exactly...hes an average...ill even go slighty above average goalie...on a really good team...

whats going to happen is the flyers will run into a team that is almost as or as good as they are but with a much better goalie...and they will lose

The Flyers don't get to game 7 of the conference finals last year with any of the other starting goalies we've had in recent memory, with the possible exception of Cechmanek in his first season.

Not because of Esche's play, he was scheduled to start game 2 all along.

he was scheduled to start two of the first five...since they have a week off after that...he was not scheduled to start friday...this was done mostly because esche struggled in the opener...plus nitty outplayed him in the preseason....you dont not start your number one goalie against the devils unless something is up

Everything's a conspiracy theory in your eyes.  ::)
