Point blank, we got our asses handed to us.  I don't know what to say.

Don't be so hard on yourself, your first team played well against our 2nd stringers...same as last season.  ;)

:-D

That was mean, SD.

Still...

:-D

QuoteEagles | Owens Aggravated Groin Injury
Fri, 26 Aug 2005 22:09:17 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, following the team's preseason game Friday, Aug. 26, said WR Terrell Owens (groin) re-tweaked his groin against the Cincinnati Bengals. Reid said he would have more information on Owens' status Saturday, Aug. 27. "He just kind of reaggravated it a little bit," Reid said.

I already posted this when I went on my tangent about Sal Pal.

He's not playing next week, so who cares?

Yeah, after catching a TD on his first pass, he caught another deep one, and had someting like 80-90 yards in his first two receptions. For all the talk about him sitting out of training camp, it doesn't look like he needs it. He's straight up money on the field, and this team is better off with him on the field even with all the other horseshtein.

All this adversity has fired TO up. A complasent TO is not as good as a fired up TO, I'll bet he has a monster year this year.

The only question in my mind is does he want to win a Superbowl as much as he wants that big payday.

General_Failure

Football isn't really his thing, but from the way he got pissed at Mooch a few years ago for handing da Bears a game I'd say he likes winning.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Actrually unlike last year the first string didn't score on the 2nd teamers. ;D

Not the first string O no. Not unless Craig Krenzel, Casey Bramlet, Chris Henry and Kevin Walter as battling to start againt Palmer, Johnson and Houshman... By the time the Bengals scored the first TD the third string and down players were in.

Unless... are you counting the FG? :-D

Why the farg are people still talking/caring about the McNabb/TO talking or not talking rubbish?

They are not talking to each other.

They communicate in the huddle for plays and thats it.

They could break the ice if they so choose to, but as it goes now who cares? They are doing exactly what everyone wanted...SHUT UP AND PLAY FOOTBALL.

Like Kearse said..it will get better. If it doesn't then they'll drag both of them into the locker room and confront them.

So how about giving the talking/not talking shtein a rest? It doesn't matter. Seriously. Didn't that show you last night that they can hate each others guts but still communicate on the field?

If TO blows up, he blows up. If he doesn't talk, he doesn't talk. But he's a great ballplayer and he is handling his bidness...

I'm so tired of hearing about this little irrelevant bullshtein!!

WEST is GOD

They are going to talk about it until they are seen chatting it up on the sidelines.
THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

General_Failure

And then they'll be arguing on the sidelines.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I guess I just blacked out at that point..... :-\

I'm correcting a previous post.

TO had 95 yds. for his first two catches, 131 on 5 recepts total.

And the third time that the ball was thrown to him he was a foot, literally, away from a second TD.

Money, nuthin' but money.

QuoteEagles Notes | Illegal tackle on Owens gets rise out of McNabb

The last time Terrell Owens played at Lincoln Financial Field before Friday night, he left it on one leg - the victim of a horse-collar tackle.

The tackle by Dallas Cowboys safety Roy Williams led to T.O.'s ankle problem that cost him four games. It also influenced the NFL to ban such tackles.

Owens was brought down from behind in a similar fashion by strong safety Kim Herring in the Eagles' preseason win over the Bengals on Friday night.

Perhaps the most interesting part of it was that the person who stuck up for Owens was quarterback Donovan McNabb, who has not had much conversation with Owens since their relationship soured this off-season.

McNabb approached the official and said something along the lines of "Hey, I thought that tackle was banned."

Maybe McNabb and Owens are like siblings. They can bicker all day, but when someone else messes with the other, watch out.

"Like I said, he's my teammate," McNabb said. "We're on that field; we're working. That's something that I thought would have been called, something that we eliminated in the off-season, and then he didn't call it. So [I was] just getting in the ref's ear a little bit."
"Oh, yeah. They'll still boo. They have to. They're born to boo. Just now, they'll only boo with two Os instead of like four." - Larry Andersen

A flag was thrown on that play, but they took it back. If it's in the rule book, you have to call that shtein.
