It's admirable the way you're able to stick up for your sorry-ass team.

How you can be a football fan and believe that Mark Brunell can quarterback a team into the playoffs is beyond me.  Every single pass was a duck.  He has no zip on the ball at all.  And Portis is slightly above average at best.

You're a couple of injuries on defense away from not being remotely competitive.  Gibbs could be a great coach (and he's not anymore), and that team still couldn't manage more than 10 wins and a first round playoff exit... and that's if everything goes perfectly.  You're more likely looking at 7 or 8 max, so enjoy it while it lasts.

The 60 yd bombs didn't look like ducks to me.

Last year our entire defense was injured by week 3 and we were still very good.

All I'm looking for right now is the playoffs, that will be a marked improvement.  If we go out in the first round at least that's better than the quagmire we've been in so far.  I am going to enjoy it because anything more than that is icing on the cake.  Is that so bad?  I actually think that 'Skins fans are better off because right now our expectations are a lot lower than yours.  With the quality of your team over the last few seasons I am amazed you guys haven't won yet.

Portis is slightly above average? Ha! That is like an Eagles fan saying that Correll Buckhalter will go to the Pro Bowl while he is on IR.

As far as what you said about injuries, what does that have to do with anything? The same thing can be said about ALL 32 teams.

By the way, Moss' TD's weren't a huge coinicidence considering:

QuoteAccording to Portis, Moss discovered that the defense was biting on a move he had been using during the game and convinced Coach Joe Gibbs to devise the play-calling around him. That move proved to be the difference between a win and a loss.

So, you're saying that Portis is worse than average?  OK, you're right.  I was being nice.

As for injuries, some teams are deep.  Others (like the taterskins) have wildly overpaid crappy players, so their depth is suspect at best.  I don't know if you were watching Monday night's game, but the taterskins played like out and out ass for 56 minutes.  Against a good team, that's plenty of time to lose the game.

You guys love to twist stuff around, don't you?

I don't feel I need to clarify anything. It's a simple analogy of exaggerations.

I'm out for now. I'm not "slinking away." I'll be back later.

Right.  You suck at analogies, because you couldn't even do it the right way.

Your hope for your team is cute, but the team itself stinks.

I'm not even sure how to get the point across to Skins fans any more. We hear the same thing every year.

" (Insert head coach du jour's name) has this team headed in a new direction. Just look, we're (insert meaningless, early season won-loss record). The Eagles finally have some competition for the division. I really think that (random offseason move, overpriced free agent, ungodly contract extension, management decision, draft pick, court ruling) is already beginning to show dividends."

Same thing, year after year, and by week 9 they have gone away, not to be heard from again until the week after their team trades away all of their draft picks for an aging defensive tackle. Do they not see this pattern? Are they completely blind to it? It's ridiculous how we could just script these conversations months and years before they happen. What a joke.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

With worse fans.

Which is saying a lot, because Phillies fans are a pathetic bunch. But hey, at least they know their team sucks. Even when they're winning, they know their team sucks. It's called realism. Pattern recognition. These are attributes that Skins fans do not possess.

Yup. It doesn't stop me watching and hoping, but I know, deep down, that they're a loser organization who will never win anything. Sadly, taterskins fans are too blinded by their manlove for Gibbs and Snyder to realize that. Excuse me, Coach Gibbs and Mr. Snyder. My bad.

I think the Gatorade bath was cool. Portis and Rock Cartwright were the culprits. It shows we have energy and they do care about Gibbs and what he is trying to get this team to achieve.

Of course you do. You're an idiot. It was the second week of the season. Any team/coach/player that can't act like a professional after winning one game early in the season is a farging pathetic joke. But hey. Way to win in week 2. Good job.

It was the first week of the season.  Any team/coach/player that can't like a professional before winning one game is a farging pathetic joke.  But hey.  Way to lose in week 1.  Good job.

Maybe if you try again, we might understand your point. But I think you'll have to back away from the drugs for a while...
