I believe their game vs. SF will determine their season.  In fact, I told a 4skin friend of mine a couple weeks prior that the SF game was more important than the Bronco or Chief games (I expected them to lose to both clubs)...

If they win, I see them as a 9-7, 10-6 club.

On the other hand, if they drop that game, I foresee a death spiral of losing that will culminate with Gibbs hanging it up, Williams moving on (he's the favorite to land in Minnesota), and the rest of the Skin faithful looking forward to their 4 draft picks in 2006.  :-D
More Mahe please.

It would take a choke of gigantic proportions for them to lose to SanFran and their rookie QB.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Art what are you lookin for back there, buddy?

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

taterskins = stone cold mortal lock vs. 49ers

The 49ers are awful.

MDS

What a bunch of fairies. They are threatning to ban anyone who starts a Lavar topic over at ES.

Jesus. They live in a self-regulated fantasy world over there. Remarkable.

Can I have permission to punch this guy if I ever see him?

Please? I'll bring a stool.

No Eagle fan needs permission to punch a Skins fan. Just do it.

p.s., I'd love to be there to have your back, not that you'd need it.

Art pictorials!!  :-D

He's the oafish doofus behind Burnell in the Skins shirt with his arms at his side.

PG can take him.  :paranoid

He's staring at Raymer's ass.

Please tell me he's not emulating Gibbs' stance. Hands on hips, feet outward, head tilted slightly down and to the left. I'm almost surprised he doesn't have a little fake headset on...

QuoteAfter leaving Arrowhead last night, I went and had a couple of cigars with family, relaxed and got a little tipsy . This morning we packed up and drove back. I really just got in and settled so I've had what I assume is likely the great benefit of not having to read the bulk of posts on this board since yesterday.

Just a couple of observations.

This team has a seriousness about it that I like. I was walking around the Chiefs sideline and they had one guy who was not dressed talking to two guys who were and the one who was not was doing a mock sexual act to the laughter of his teammates.

You never saw that kind of thing on our sidelines. These guys are very confident in themselves and very serious about the job. I liked that. Years of hearing about laughter and fun in a losing locker room, I was in the locker room yesterday and was intrigued by the total quiet. These guys were upset. They were unhappy. They were in a bad mood.

They talked to the media but only in the most perfunctory of ways. The most cliche of ways. These guys were angry at themselves for letting another get away. They know what we know -- that the last two teams we've played aren't anywhere near as good a team as we are, but we lost. This is, I have a feeling, going to serve as something of a compelling force toward a wonderful all around effort coming soon.

The offense is efficient and capable, but not yet consistent enough to put things away and the turnovers are crushing. The defense is still stingy and able, but, bigger plays are happening, bumping scoring up some. The two pieces are nearly there. Statistically we're rated highly in both categories, but both are lacking still. Both are still a hair off. Once things align, this team has scary potential.

Special teams is still a concern without Hall -- in my view -- but this week they didn't hurt us at all.

I'm sure people here are alternately furious with the offense for their turnovers that cost us or the defense for the big play that gave the Chiefs the lead. But, this is a team that is pushing other teams around right now with huge margins in performance out there. While it can always turn sour for us, we're more likely to have a culminating effort than a back step and this team is capable of hitting a very nice run.

Things that have been lacking for years appear to be coming together for this team. The lack of false starts despite what was a VERY loud stadium is encouraging -- though it was only REALLY terrible the last couple of minutes. The execution is outstanding for the most part on both sides of the ball. The offense needs to retain the ball and the defense needs to stop the major big play against. Both of those things will happen and when they do this team is one we'll be very proud of.

Oh no! Not the mock sexual acts!

And I love how he seems to know what the team is thinking. Mind reader?

QuoteJason La Canfora, of the Washington Post, reports the Washington taterskins have the second-worst turnover differential in the league at minus-8. The team has gone four entire games without recovering a fumble or intercepting a pass and also ranks last in sacks per pass play.

 :-D

And yet the guy who can force turnovers and sacks QBs (arrington) is chillin on the bench all the time.
