Maybe heading to Lebanon and Syria in next year. Will be staying at a friend's pad and touring the country and probably checking out Damascus as well. I hear the food is very inexpensive and there is beautiful countryside.

Should be interesting.

Yeah the countrysides are pretty beautiful.  Except for the burnt out cars, tanks, and corpses littered on the sides of the major roads.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Chuggie, long as your in the neighborhood you might consider a trip to Jordan and check out Petra. Ever since seeing the 3rd Indiana Jones movie I always wanted to visit it. Recently it was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World (I think there are 18 of them now).

Been in Hong Kong for the last week or so; going to be here and Macau for another week. Looks like I didn't miss much with the Chargers game. As if my whiteness, zesty fashion sense, and accent haven't already advertised that I'm the Ugly American, I've been doing the Phreak and obnoxiously wearing my Phillies cap everywhere. I've been to a ton of non-touristy areas here (I know some people) , meaning that there have been multiple times when a sea of hundreds of Asian faces has been broken up only by a red cap. I wish I had some pictures of that.

My takeaway impression of the place is that if China can replicate even half the success of Hong Kong in other cities, their economy will utterly dominate that of the USA, and quickly. Learn Cantonese!

Rock the Philly stuff...good job.  :yay

speaking of that Phreak, i was listening to i think WYSP, and they were saying that Bonnaduche is having some contest of people rocking Eagles/Philly related clothes in crazy places.  http://www.94wysp.com/pages/3263242.php

Sweet! Maybe I'll win something.

i doubt it.  when you have a contest made up of people wearing eagles/phillies jerseys all around the world, there are no real winners.

Probably your best post. Ever.
