is the total time logged in that is at the top of the screen here consecutive time or the amount of time youve been logged in since you registered

it's the time you've been logged on and active

when you log the ticker starts rolling.  if you do not load a page after ten minutes or so--some time limit, I don't know what it really is--then the clock stops.  each time you load a page, make a post, etc, the timeout limit is reset.

in other words, it's a lot closer to the actual time you have spent actively reading and posting on this board than you would ever want to admit to anyone.
