Gagne doesn't need Tommy John

That's a beautiful thing!  That would have been his second Tommy John surgery, and he may have never gotten back to 100% form, but now he has a chance to be just fine.

Too bad the Dodgers suck ass.  ::)

The Dodgers were an average team before, but to have this many injuries in the season, well we don't have the depth to handle it.  This is getting ugly, and it doesn't look like too much will change.

The Dodgers FO in the offseason said they would play with the same payroll they had last season.  Well apparently last season the payroll was right around $100 mill, and this season it is in the low $80s.  Now although that is still a healthy payroll, don't get me wrong I'm not saying that is cheap, but the FO obviously didn't stick to its word.  I was hoping what the FO would do was realize they had money to spend close to the trading deadline and we could pick up another starter or something, but if things keep going this way I hope they don't.

I do not want the Dodgers FO trading away our best prospects if our season is over.  Keep the payroll low, maybe even trade away some vets and bring in some talent if anything.

Tonight will be only the second time since June 11th that the Dodgers have won 2 straight games, good thing both times will be against San Diego which is saving our season.

HB you better be voting for the all star game.

Seriously, get Sean Casey.  He's pissed off Cincy management for speaking out against the Graves release....

RomeyRome

Anything wrong with him?  Health problems?  Attitude problems?

BigEd76

Maybe some attitude, but he's a LH-hitting power 1B....

But they've got Hee Sop Choi! :D

RomeyRome

Choi does have potential (yes I know you were mocking the Dodgers and Choi), but everytime he starts to get going the Dodgers bench him for a couple games.  He has 13 HRs and 31 RBIs with approx. 100 LESS at bats than your average everyday starter.  He plays a couple days, then he sits a couple days.  If you know baseball, then you know the inconsistent play can destroy a players batting average.  That's why you don't have too many successful pinch hitters in the history of the game.

Olmaedo Saenz is breaking down physically, so Choi should start to see more consistent play, but the Dodgers refuse to let him hit lefthanders.

Hes not really power, last year was pretty much his only year where he hit HRs.
