You doing it Sun?  What i wonder is if its easier to level up once you go into prestige, or are you at the same general powerups?

not sure about that, but i'll probably do it.  i don't use many guns.  other than the G36, i only ever use the AK or the M16 which you start with anyway

I like the G 36, but it has a ton of recoil surprisingly.  I like the p90 when working Vacant and close quarters. 

what perks are you guys using?  I use overkill for sniping that way i can switch off easy if im sucking at sniping.  Otherwise

1: Claymores or frags x3
2:  The heavy damage one for bullets
3:  Deep impact

Is there any one i should choose over what im using?

Everytime I got on COD4 online, the servers were f'd.  Has it gotten better?  xBox live in general has been a pain in the ass since Christmas.  Guess they weren't ready for the influx of new accounts.

once you go to presitge mode you lose all the guns you earned. you lose all the perks earned. you lose the ability to create a class, until like level 6 or so. all you get out of it is the updated badge. i found though that once you hit 55, points mean nothing anymore. the only thing to work for is the challenges and golden guns. big deal. i like earning points and progressing, even if its the samething over and over. if not for that reason, its challenging starting over. so its a challenge and it keeps it interesting.

when i snipe i usually go with:

perk 1: claymore
perk 2: stopping power
perk 3: extra lung power(hold deeper breaths)

claymore covers my ass while i am sitting. stopping power puts the enemies down quicker. third perk just helps you stay steady longer

i usually rock the m16 with 3 frags, stopping power and deep impact(sometimes martyrdom)

really though for each level i like diff weapons and perks. for smaller levels like vacant i like the mp5, p90 with lots of grenades and steady aim

larger levels i'll use the M16, G3, or other single shot assult rifles. LMG's cause you have more space to open up. Sniper rifles

Obvious levels like Bloc, i roll either sniper or SMG's

I waiting for new levels. I really do not like Bloc, Vacant and Wet Work.

My fav level is Crossfire. I also really like Crash, Ambush, Strike, Downpour and Overgrown

i like wet work, even though most people don't.  i usually do well on it.

Wet work isnt bad, i just hate the other team respawning behind you when you dont have a uav

i can't see a damn thing on that level. plus you have zero protection. i die, i die, i kill someone, i die. plus random grenade throwing is out of control. its just a bitch of a level. i usually sit back on the deck and try to snipe peoples faces off

turn your night vision on, stay in a constant crouch, you'll be alright

rent ace combat 6 for 360. so far its pretty cool, challenging for sure...takes sometime to get controls down. its tough getting a lock on targets..don't know if there is an easier way or what?  alot of neck turning like your actually in the plane. storyline is just horrible and really not needed.

rent ace combat 6 for 360. so far its pretty cool, challenging for sure...takes sometime to get controls down. its tough getting a lock on targets..don't know if there is an easier way or what?  alot of neck turning like your actually in the plane. storyline is just horrible and really not needed.

I've got AC 4 for PS2 and had a blast with it.  Are the newer versions of it available for the PS2? 

I have yet to play a game online but always see the disclaimers that online play may vary from standard gameplay.  How so?

what they usually mean by that is it can be slower or glitchy. everyone's connection to the internet varies, so if someone has a bad connection it can slow down the game for everyone...until the game ends abruptly. 1st person shooters are usually pretty good with this, although COD4 has issues because more people play that online than any other game and microsoft has yet to totally fix its server issues

i played sports games online and it pretty much sucks with madden and mlb 2k7. both were slow...so with games that depend on timing...forget about it. you have throw the ball way early or else get sacked, because normal passing in madden is diff than online. it really all depends on if microsofts servers can handle it or not. overall im impressed and love playing games online, but its still not streamlined perfectly. i think its a issue with microsoft more than the games.
