I have seen it. You can also get hit in mid air and flip over. It's a pretty cool animation.

Avant was on my team for the 360. Gaither and others were in free agency.

How exactly do you do this play?  Teh jump over the pile one.

you dont, it's a random animation. there's no control over it, madden 07 sucks according to most of the people that have purchased it. i played it for about an hour the other day and wasnt all that impressed.

if you skipped 06, get 07

otherwise don't waste your money

I'm selling Madden and going back to NCAA. NCAA is a much better game. It takes a lot more dedication constantly building and tweaking your team because players graduate every year, and you need to constantly refill spots.

Madden scores $100 million hit

SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- Electronic Arts Inc. said Thursday sales of its latest Madden football video game grossed more than $100 million in its first week, the biggest launch in the franchise's 17-year history and the latest sign of an improving outlook for the industry.

EA, the world's largest video game publisher, said consumers snapped up more than 2 million copies of "Madden NFL 07" in its opening week, up 12 percent from last year's game launch.

The Madden game is the flagship franchise for the Redwood City-based game maker, with new versions each year ranking consistently as a best seller. To date, more than 53 million copies of the game have been sold.

If the gamers aren't happy with the newest Madden, you wouldn't know it judging by the sales.  Read this thread and it seems a lot of people are unhappy with the game and/or didn't buy it this year...

it's the only pro football game out there, so even though most people bitch, they buy it anyway because it has their team's 6th round draft pick on the roster.  i didn't buy it, but at this point it's obvious that i have a higher moral fortitude than most people.

So I am thinking about buying the Action Replay MAX drive for PS2.  You can download the updated rosters onto this USB drive via PC and then plug it into your USB port in your PS2 and upload rosters onto a memory card. anyone have or heard about this?
Apparently there are 1000's of cheat codes built into the device also.

so i bought the MaxDrive and Madden 07 today. just downloaded a roster update from maddenmania for week 1. the roster is exact. baskett, avant, buckhalter, tapeh, aj feely, stallworth, etc...they are supposed to have an updated one for week 2 soon. pretty cool. havn't tried the actual game but I am about to. overall its worth it. you can find all the rosters for ncaa and madden on maddenmania. very cool

played first game of 07 and overall like some of the changes. the lead blocker option is tough and is going to take sometime to use. i was more interested in the new juke controls when running. its alot like ncaa but the juke left and right is slower, you need to tap it alot earlier than ncaa. the hit/elusive stick is nice. it is harder to go deep. i attempted i think 3 deep balls. 2 to Stallworth and one to westbrook. donte dropped a sure TD and was wide open, the 2nd got block as well as westy's. defending the pass seems harder though.  the updated roster is sweet.  i had to make adjustments to tapeh. he was rated only 68, speed of 60 something. thats way off.  some new animations for tackles, didn't see any new TD celebrations. the one thing that really is annoying is controls to run with QB changed. last year you had to hold L2 and x to run, now this year they went back to just X. so i threw couple passes away. overall i'll give it a B-, some nice new additions but not enough.

What's up with the lack of roster updates for the PS2 (for Madden 07)?

I downloaded 2 today from MaddenMania.  I'm going to compare them in alittle. The one I checked today is very accurate, except they didn't update the Deion Branch trade yet. Everything else is almost perfect except Dominick Davis is in the free agents list. I'm assuming your looking for the update from EA themselves?

Yeah, the ones you usually have to download before you play online.
