Yeah, but I'm a little annoyed that Ngata is stronger, since Bunkley destroyed Ngata in terms of 225 reps at the combine. Bunkley was like 48/49 when Ngata did around 25 I think.

Anyway, I guess it's not such a big deal, but there are a lot of other things that annoy me. Like I won't be able to start Jamaal Jackson at center, because he's only rated a 78. If I want the best offensive line I'm going to have to start Fraley.

Also say Fraley changes to guard full-time. I won't be able to edit him to make him a guard. The whole leaving out edit player annoys me.

The create a player thing applies to all created players I think. All these gripes are only in the 360 version though. I don't think the Xbox and PS2 versions leave the stuff out.

PS2 version is going to be the best one.  In PS2 06, o-lineman are about the easiest position to progress at. i put my backups in if im killing half-way into third and down. ive had rookie at 68 become a 90 o-lineman in 2-3 yrs  max.

some comments from madden mania about PS2 07 version:

QuoteFirst off,,im a madden ol schooler. Ive been on madden since day the first joint dropped LONG AGo,,so i know my madden..This morning I logged 4 games versus my cousin...heres my thoughs pretty much in random..

Graphics- Nearly identical to madden 06 and that was perfectly fine with me. Im glad they didint try to over do anything and add slowdown to the game...I could tell right away that things were definatly well tweeked out, as the gameplay seemed to run ever more smoothly then 06. There were never any drops oin frame rate even on rollouts, or when the camera was back off of the play. This made responding to plays on defense easier.

The passing cone : This year i noticed right away something awsome...The cone doesnt come up UNTIL you start exchanging thru your recivers...I noticed in the "gameplay" screen there were three options for the cone,,,ON/OFF/ and i think it was "Option" or something...maybe this lets you turn it on and off on the fly or something...I didnt have a manual so i couldnt look it up. But the cone does not instantly come up until you R2+reciver,,then it pops up.

The Playaction: Youll instantly notice the playaction is better this year...When you call one, the camera stays on the RB a full 1 or 2 seconds longer than in 06, so you can REALLLLY fool people. I ran with atlanta, and i got some nasty bootleg scrambles with Vick....

The rollout: This year, i noticed that passing on the run (even with the cone right on the reciver) is DAMN HARD. Phisics play a huge roll this year, as the two times i tried to roll right with Vick and thru off the wrong foot, i thru picks..Very realistic.

The lead blocking: I used this several times, and it seemed pretty cool. I mostly used it to fool my cuzin into thinking i was running, but the it sucks that when you do put the circle on your blocker, it kinda gives away that your running.,,they shoulda made it so you can select a lead blocker without your opponant seeing the circle. Whats cool it that you can use the right analoug to do different blocks,,up is pancake, down is chop, and right and left swings the guy to one side or the other to open holes...you can even hold one of the top buttons to make your guy perform a "hold" more that really opened huge holes but got me flagged 2 out of the 3 times i did it.

Run moves: as all of you know, you can use the right stick to do moves,,but you can also string together moves using 2 moves togehter after 1 another....i also saw a few times where i was wrapped up by one guy and a little "press x" came up,,,we both masshed the x button and i broke free for 10 more yards...I was woried at first that this would turn to "tecmo bowl" but it happened rarely thank god...

The "feel" : This years madden feels less stiff than 06. More watery and fluid if you will. You feel like the controller gives you direct control of your players. I noticed this especialy on defense. Not sure what they did but everything is better...I never get stuck "running backwords" or off stuck in wierd strafe angles.....Defending the WR's was a bit tough, as they seemed to seperate from my defense easier than last year (atl vs wash) BTW). It coulda just been poor playcalling or there fast ass recievers.

Kicking: Kicking was actually kinda hard to get used to. Its just like ncaa's kicking but on the way back up, its much harder to maintain the accuracy of the kick. Im sure just like every other "new" kicking system that ea throws at us, it will be easy soon but, for now, i dont see myself kicking ant 50+ yarders. We didnt even play on allmadden and it was difficuly..

Punts: Dont know if it was the way i was being kicked to but i wasnt able to return any punts...I had to call fair catch on each one..

Squibs: These are easier to catch by the guys up front...when i knew they were comein, i caught every one of them..

Overall:
This game is simply must have. After only 4 games i noticed this many changed to the game. Normaly with madden i notice the subtle changes later on as i play over the first few weeks, but this year they are jumping right out. 07 is beyond polished, as they left the "perfect" things alone, and concentrated on deepening the "feel" of the game. This is only from playing the "play now" mode..

Anyone has any questions feel free to ask.....Besides that,,I think you will all love the game

QuoteI noticed some REALLY dope animations that i haven't even seen in NCAA. Plus i played the 360 ncaa and didint really like it to much..I also noticed that when you do the truckstick with smaller backs then dont do the regular truck move. I did this sweet ass half spin move kinda like the one in 06 that they did by themselves sometimes?..you know? Dunn kinda spun through the tackle,,it was pretty sweet. I also watched my cuzin working with his reciver in that superstar mode where he had a camera specific to the WR position. He was usin the right stick to do his cuts, and stops and stuff. You can even do double moves to get free from the DB's..It was pretty frickin sweet...

Quoteplayed some more today,,i found something real nice

lets say you pick a regular "non playaction" pass play..Before the snap you can press triangle plus up on the directional pad, and it will make it into a playaction...This is an awsome feature that works great when people are overplaying your runs...

the l buttons do a semi juke move,,mostly for squirtin thrue holes it was great..the stick does the big jukes...

QuoteAnother GREAT thing i noticed was something ive been truly waiting for for years in madden. By doing things manualy you actualy have a better chance of succeeding. For exaple...I played against one of my other cousins today who really, really is not any good at all in madden. In 06, he could get away with simply airing it out, even into double coverage being that most of the time, even if he was triple covered, they would either nock it down or "nearly intercept" as they say, the pass. My cousin came out throwing and at first, i let the cpu knock down some balls. After that I started switching and going up for the rock myself. Needless to say, by the end of the game, I HAD 9 INTERCEPTIONS...NO LIE...

you can not play stupid in 07 throw deep knowing the d will just flail at the pass. You can really really go up and get it.

The same thing goes for being a reciever as well...

While on the subject of reciever, Dont you hate that split second where you switch to your reciver in the old maddens and "lose" a step when you slide your finger to the turbo button?..Well,,in 07 there is a second after you switch where the turbo is automaticly applied, where you have time to switch your finger over to turbo..This is an AWSOME little touch they added, and just didnt think anyone else whould notice it unless I mentioned it...its there...and makes burner manual recivers even more deadly

QuoteThis happened VERY RARELY. Once in a while during a run if you are wrapped up for a tackle, a window comes up saying "press x" or something like that. You have to tap x really fast and you get a chance to break out of his grasp. At the same time, the tackler is doing the same thing. Whoever presses the fastest makes the play. I worried about this also, but it only came up two times in about 10 games.

I think the graphics and gameplay alone of the 360 make it better, but the lack of options in the 360 annoy me. But I'll put up with it for the superior gameplay.

It looks much much better on the 360. The player models, the stadiums, the moves, jukes, etc.

After I played NCAA on the 360, I couldn't go back to the Xbox version. It looked and played terribly compared to the 360. I can only assume it would be the same for madden.

OXM gave the 360 version 8/10 and the Xbox/PS2 a 7/10 FWIW.

of course its going to look better on the 360, im not argueing that. not having those options make the game incomplete. i played 360 and its awesome, why they did that to madden is beyond me.

That's simply not true. There's also NFL Street and NCAA College Football. That's, like, three games out there.

i'm playing God of War right now.  everyone who said I needed to play it...you were right.  this game owns.

You're welcome.  Enjoy.  :yay

Btw... I just finished playing the 1st Prince of Persia game and am starting the 2nd.  I only bring this up because when I mentioned a while ago how good God Of War was... somebody said this series was better.

Prince of Persia - SOT, while a pretty good game... ain't shtein compared to God Of War and the other two (WW and TTT), while I plan on playing them, will have to be the absolute bomb to even come close to changing my opinion.

Never played GOW, but POP 2 was by far my favorite of the 3. Part 3 was only so so.

3 has only succeeded in pissing me off. Sometimes the margin to succeed is to narrow. I could play 2 over and over.

Never played GOW but it is on my list...

I couldn't decide what I liked better out of 1 and 2. 2 had more moves and enhanced gameplay, but 1 had the better puzzles IMO.

The running plays in Madden have been improved by 213.05% this year.

Reggie Bush is in a god in this game btw.  2 plays into the game, he took it all the way.

I love how there is now basically zero chance that Reggie Bush can perform up to the hype.

Madden is always a few years behind the times, IMO.  Ray Lewis is nowhere near the 2nd best LB in the NFL, for example.  And Sean Taylor not being the #1 Safety is obviously a huge travesty!
