I thought Battleship was hilarious. Yeah it was terrible, but you can't take that movie seriously at all. I mean come on, some dude with no legs punched an alien in the face and knocked their teeth out...

Saw a couple of animated DC comic movies, they are definitely getting better if you're into that sort of thing.

i have caught a few of those myself. last few were all-star superman, batman under the red hood and the justice league - doom

there are some good ones not done by DC out there as well.

The Dark Knight Rises - For a movie that was just under 3 hrs it certainly didn't feel like it, which was surprising considering there wasn't very much Batman action. It was a slow movie that somehow went by pretty quickly. Bane was pretty awesome though and Anne Hathaway looked fine as hell as Catwoman.

i generally loathe super hero movies but the nolan batmans are just incredible....I don't think people realize how hard it is to make three movies that good without slipping up at all

They all had some dumb things in them that kept them from being great, but at least they were a hundred times better than any of the other DC movies, and half the Marvel ones.

The best one is still Punisher: War Zone.

Robocop was much better than I thought it would be...plus, Omar

Gravity. Okay movie to watch with an alright script, but an amazing movie to look at, especially the first 17 minutes. Easily the best direction, camera work, editing, and CG I've ever seen, or at least remember seeing. Also, I should probably get around to watching Children of Men one of these years.

Gravity absolutely had mind blowing effects.   Not a movie I'm going to rush to watch again but was at the least an incredible visual experience in the theater.

never seen gravity and never will but it seems like one of those unintentionally hilarious moves.....sandra farging bullock as an astronaut floating around space chatting with george clooney for two hours?.....who thought that would be a good idea

Belly has been on HBO or some other premium channel lately, easily one of the best movie intros ever.  But, I decided to record Belly 2.  Holy shtein, TERRIBLE TERRIBLE movie.  Lot's of famous actors in it, and it looks like most chose to not even have their name in the credits.  Think of The Game as a worse actor than Nas was in the first, as if that was even possible.

It's more like cast away in space with better visuals but no volleyball.

and sandra bullock subbing for tom hanks.....which is probably the biggest and most important difference

That's true and she wasn't as good as Hanks was in that, but she was less annoying in this and better than I remember her in other movies.

im not even a big cast away fan but hanks being hanks made it work.....i cant see bullock doing the same for gravity.....i can however see the cgi doing it (not for me cause thats not my thing but for others)
