Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Dallas Buyers Club was really good.

Was in a hotel earlier dead bored and decided to watch this. I had no clue what it was about prior to seeing it.  McConaghey was superb

BBCAmerica's showing The Matrix and The Matrix: Reloaded back to back. The first one holds up better than it has any right to Some of the cgi is looking a little dated, and the phones sure as hell are, but the rest of it is still good.

The second one is just as awful as it ever was. It still opens up with awful cgi, a cheesecake booty shot, an explosion for no raisin, and just gets worse from there. Next thing you know everyone's doing the Lawrence Fishburn's whispering Shatner impression and somehow Roy Jones Jr is the best actor in a scene. This movie lets you know just how awful it is before you even get to the tribal mud orgy. And I'm the idiot that went and paid good money to see this in the theater. And then stayed through the credits for the preview of the third one. I don't know what I was thinking.

Play it off that it just took some time to clean up after the mud orgy scene.

Reloaded was not good.  Revolutions wasn't bad.   The original was mind blowing, though.

And Carrie Anne Moss is still stinger inducing.

so disappointing. classic coen brothers vibe but really there was no reason to make this. to their credit though it's still watchable even with zero plot whatsoever. closer to one of their worst than one of their best.
