Had the TV on in the office and saw that "From Here To Eternity" is on TCM.  What a great movie and what a cast with Burt Lancaster, Ernest Borgnine, Montgomery Cliff and Frank Sinatra.  Just a good old classic movie.

Saw that "Tora! Tora! Tora!" is on later today.  Excellent movie from 1971 that really examined the historical side of the attack on Pearl Harbor from both the Japanese and American perspective.

Pitch Perfect - similar to Bring It On except 100 times worse. I used to be a big Anna Kendrick fan until she rapped in this.

Caught 21 Jumpstreet last night. Few laughs, fun movie. Wasn't as funny or fun as people made it out to be.

Not to pile on, but I stumbled upon it the other day and thought the same thing. Not sure what the fuss was about. It was an okay time-waster, at best.

it got good reviews? i thought it was ok with a few funny parts, but i also watched it thinking it was going to be awful.

2 or 3 people told me it was a must watch...I thought it would at least be on the level of Superbad but it wasn't even close

Eagles_Legendz

i liked it.  best comedy of this year IMO (not that there was tons of competition).

Munson

Yeah I thought it was pretty funny. It wasn't on Superbad levels in terms of constant laughs, but it still had 3 or 4 moments that had me rollin. I was surprised at how funny I found Tatum.

I thought they coulda done funnier stuff with Ice Cube. "Cherub lookin mother farger" had me laughing though.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I watched it like 2 months ago.  It was pretty awful as I expected and largely forgettable as far as comedies go.  It had it's moments, but when you're making a stupid comedy it's practically impossible to not have a least a few funny parts to it.  There was pretty much no original humor or jokes in it though.

you have to remember that trashy munson thinks brent celek tweets are pretty much the funniest things on earth right now

Eh, Munson's a good 10 years younger than me.  This movie was made for his demo.  So was twitter.
