Anyone seen a good movie lately?

watched Oldboy today...pretty farged up Korean flick but intense. it was good.

All Korean flicks are intense.  Saw the Housemaid a few months ago and was all "WTF?"

Saw the new Bond. It was excellent. I love good Bond movies and farging detest bad ones. This was a good one. I was really skeptical of Bardem as the villain, especially after people started referring to his role as creepy. I just assumed he would reprise the creepiness of Anton Chigur, which would be annoying. But lo and behold he was creepy in an entirely different way that was really effective. That's three movies I've seen Bardem in and I dug him in all three.

I can't tell if you're being a weirdo but I mean, they pretty much come out and say it in the movie. Or at least suggest that he's open to dudes and chicks. But maybe you're just being a weirdo.

Yeah they more or less make it obvious that he's into the penis a little bit.


It was definitely very good. Was kind of sad about what happened to one character, but thought they did it well.

It's not enough just to know that the character is gay.  I need to know if he pitches or catches, too.

skyfall was good.  i'm not a huge bond guy in general but i liked it.  still like casino royale more of the recent movies.

I thought Skyfall and Casino Royale were both excellent. Quantum of Solace I thought was total garbage. That's how I tend to view Bond movies. I either really like them or really hate them. I'm just mysterious like that I guess.

Yeah, Quantum was definitely a filler movie hastily constructed to cash in on the popularity of Casino Royale.  If they had taken the extra year like they did with Skyfall, they would have done much better.

Loved Skyfall.  Different style than most Bonds, but well done in my opinion.

There was some.  Also some nods to Bond movies of the past.  Got a kick out of a few of them.

i think most bond movies are meh, including this one. i literally almost stopped watching after the ridiculous bulldozer train scene.

They had to completely re-engineer two excavators for the movie so the cab is on the right side.

Absurd over the top opening chase scenes are a Bond movie requirement. Understandable that it isn't everone's thing but if you turn off a Bond movie because the opening scene isn't realistic you probably shouldn't be watching a Bond movie in the first place.
