Disney buys lucas films. Star wars 7 slated. Calm down SD.

They realllly should be doing KOTOR stuff if they're making a movie.

A KOTOR movie makes too much sense not to happen. Lucasfilm sold out for $4 Billion. I'm a little shocked to tell you the truth. Maybe it'll lead to some Star Wars rides in Disney which would be pretty cool. Disney bought Marvel last year too, looks like they're trying to take over.

Hopefully it doesn't ruin the good thing they have going in the Clone Wars series.

Does this give Disney free reign in creating or altering the stories?

who knows, maybe they'll re-do the prequels and take out all the added crap that Lucas has put in during the years

The KOTOR part of the Star Wars universe is dead. The MMO Bioware spent seven years working on, The Old Republic, completely bombed.

Maybe for video games but a movie surrounding the original KOTOR would work.

How did the MMO bomb? Last I heard it sold well and people enjoyed it. I don't do MMO's so I have no idea if it's any good or not.

It sold really well, and then those people played it and saw how badly it was handled.

For an MMO to be successful today, it needs to

1. Run on cheap hardware
2. Be fun to play while leveling up
3. Have something to do at the level cap
4. Be World of Warcraft, EVE Online, or free to play

It was fun to level, but missed on all the other points. They went free to play last month, but I don't think it'll be enough to keep it running.

Here's Lucas talking about handing the franchise over and them possibly making 7,8,9 which I wish they wouldn't. Just make a new series. Disney did great with Marvel so I have high hopes plus I don't think they can get much worse than the crap Lucas threw into the prequels:

With Star Wars you can jump to a completely different time and have a whole new story surrounding the Jedi/Sith/bounty hunters etc. They don't need to stick with the Vader/Luke storyline.

Possibly...I haven't read much of the EU. Apparently they're making episodes 7 8 9 with 7 being due out in 2015. After that trilogy is done they'll make a new movie every 2 or 3 years.
