perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

The best lightsaber duel is and always will be Luke vs. Vader in the carbonite chamber in ESB followed by their duel in ROTJ. I prefer the slower paced classic duels over the fast paced jumping all over the place duels. It's sort of like old school wrestling with slow measured moves compared to the high paced slop we see today.

Whose head explodes first after reading this page? I'll go with Todd since he's a latenighter. Followed by Russell, Dio, then igy.

I'm just getting back from work...nearly 10 hours of nonsense mexican football

there.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Sgt PSN

Due Date - Fairly funny throughout but not hilarious.  Very few memorable lines though, which is practically a necessity for comedies.  Decent flick though.

Battle Los Angeles - Pretty terrible acting throughout, especially the first 5-10 minutes which might have been the worst writing and acting I've ever seen in a major motion picture.  Good action but it was kind of like watching Independence Day's retarded cousin.

Zanshin

Finally saw The Social Network. Wow... Pretty seriously overrated. Boring and disjointed with no likable characters. Not sure what the fuss was about.

SunMo

it depends if you are interested in the subject matter, you obviously weren't, but it wasn't a boring movie by any stretch and the writing was great.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

i love the no likable characters comment

not every movie includes people youre supposed to like. goodfellas? yea, got some real lovable psychopaths in that one.

If I wanted to talk technology with boring douchebags, I'd go to work. When I watch a movie, I prefer to see either interesting or likable characters.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Aaron Sorkin could write a movie about :CF and make it interesting.

Rome

The Social Network was fairly spectacular.  I can see what Z is saying about the characters being unlikable because, well, they were.  But it was anything but boring and like everyone else has said, the writing was insanely excellent.

Diomedes

I couldn't care less about the shteinhead punk who started his own myspace/friendster, whatever.  A bunch of snotty rich kids spending a lot of energy and talking to each other like the guy in the radio commercial reading the small print.

These people are all small print and their enterprises are utterly frivolous.

farg 'em.
There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists." - Yosemite Park Ranger

Rome

It's meaningless but I wouldn't say it's a frivolous enterprise.   Facebook has enormous potential commerce-wise.  It's one of the few American success stories in an otherwise awful decade.

MDS

the movie wasnt really even supposed to be a movie

at best the story was a 60 minutes piece or a new yorker indepth feature (which i think it was). there wasnt enough juice to make a movie out of it.

but aaron sorkin + david fincher + trent reznor = a farging great movie
