So for those who have seen it....AND THESE ARE SPOILERS!

Whats everyones theory on the end? I have heard countless theories which could be supported by certain ideas and scenes provided in the movie but since its left up to interpretation I went with the one that made me feel the best about: In the end he just does not care if its real or fake, he is over his guilt, and just wants to be with his kids.

Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

ice grillin you

its def still a dream at the end...that much is made clear by them showing the kids in the exact same position in the yard as they do the whole movie when they run away...this time they turn around tho...and i agree the difference is that he made his peace with and let go of his wife

saw inception last night. i'm torn between liking it a lot and hating it. i would literally laugh out loud at how dumb something was but then 5 minutes later i would be like wow thats awesome. the more i think about it, the more i like it though.

wait....how can you not think its mind blowing

Apparently, people are pretty convinced the end of the movie is reality because of a clue dropped in by Nolan regarding Leo's wedding ring.  In every scene that they're dreaming, he's wearing a wedding ring, and in reality he's not.  The last scene with the kids he has no ring on.  I said that might symbolize him letting go of his wife finally, hence the ring disappearing, but he was apparently wearing it in the last scene with Saito after he'd already 'let her go'.

i had so many questions after leaving. nothing too important but just little things that bothered me...although they may have been answered in the film but i just didn't see it.

ALL KINDS OF SPOILERS

like why was the british guy (best character in the movie imo) able to transform into other people? or could everyone do it but he was just the best?

why was the chemist needed inside the dreams? couldn't he have just been with them in real life? he was sedating people inside the dreams to make them sleep for their next dream?

and yeah i actually think the end was reality...the totum never wobbled in the dream world like that. but on the other hand i don't think dude would wrap a movie like that up in a nice little bow at the end either.

if the end is reality then the ending all of a sudden becomes retarded....what are the chances that when he got back to that house that the kids would be right in the yard in the same positions playing with their back to him just as they were when he left them...i thought they had the same clothes on as well but that couldnt be if its supposed to be reality...then again if everything else is the same might as well make an even bigger leap

anyway thats so dumb if true

also i dont think you can spoil the ending of this movie for anyone as it doesnt really contain any true spoilers since its all interpretive...

in fact i can only think of two true spoilers in the entire thing

i dont remember the british guy transforming...in fact i have no idea what you are talking about...but if it happened in the last third of the movie i could have missed it as that sequence went on for friggin ever and lost my attention for a good period of time

yes on the chemist

disagree on the ending for the reason ive stated

british guy was known as the forger. i guess that was his specialty. he acted and talked enough like the character they wanted him to portray so that the dreamer's mind sees him as that person.

chemist was needed to initiate the kick that would wake them up from the 2nd dream. he needed to drive the van off the bridge so they could wake up.

if you go simply by the end scene alone then yeah its a dream because the kids are in the same clothes, same age, and repeat the same scene that he sees over and over in his mind. in fact when he is finally coming to grip with his guilt over his wife she tries to show him the kids faces and he looks away. this time he doesn't. this time he doesn't care. you could argue for it being real but to me it came across as him being in a dream/limbo (which he rescued Saito from) and not caring.

he turned into the godfather for the kidnapping scene and then the hooker at the bar who stole dude's wallet in one scene also.

there was one point in the van when he was dripping some kind of stuff (i'm guessing it was the sedative) on the kidnapped dude while they were already in the van in the first dream.

i also like how the first time cobb was telling ellen page about this whole scenario she didn't question or wasn't skeptical and was just like "oh ok i'll be the architect of your dreams no problem."

one of the "crazy" theories I heard floating around is that she was selected for this job by Cobb's father in law (Caine) to help him get over his guilt and let his wife go. Sort of a 2nd Inception.
