Going the Bane route with either of those 2 actors would fall into the cartoonish hell that plagued both of Joel Schumacher's movies. No.

Exactly.

Arnold as Mr. Freeze was about as bad a choice as I've ever seen.  And LOL at The Rock too.  God God...

I don't think God God wants anything to do with this conversation, Rome.

I think the problem with Bane is, to make it look right, he'd have to be all CGI.  He gets downright ridiculous big when he drugs up.

And I never thought the Broken Bat series was all that great.  Plus he gets his shattered spine cured by magic.  Uh, that hardly fits in Nolan's version to date.
Anyone but Reid.

It won't be a page by page version of the comic if Nolan did it, hasnt' with any of the characters, even the Batman himself. I think Bane's a cool character and could be written into a movie well. I dunno', i was so dissapointed with the way the it was done in Batman and Robin, that I know he could be a lot more interesting character.

Wait........I know...........LOU FERRIGNO!!

being one of these nerdy lame batman fans i can say a few things:

nolan...if he does the 3rd one....has already said he would not do a catwoman, penguin, or robin character. he doesnt like the robin character at all. bale has said "i dont want to have any little kid in training".

nolan claims it wouldnt work with what hes trying to do with the movies. he also said that batman has 70 yrs of history and there are many villains which could work but no catwoman or penguin. he already put down rumors about "mr. reese".

as for why batman takes the blame i think he wanted to. earlier the mob boss maroni mentions how no one is afraid of him anymore because they know he wont kill. batman says "im anything gotham needs me to be". he was losing his effectiveness...so even though he will be hunted by the police, he has regained his edge against the criminals.

hmmm but i would love to see jolie in a leather suit.
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Dude, Bane's character was one of the least of the tragedies from Batman and Robin.  Bat-nipples come way higher than that.

Who would you suggest then? And don't even say Arnold.

Someone with talent. They don't even have to be totally jacked. Clive Owen isn't huge, but he can do action stuff and on top of that is a terrific actor. Someone like him.

But let's remember, Nolan isn't signed for another movie (only Bale is) and the main attraction to the movies is Batman itself, not Nolan. So I wouldn't be shocked if they lowball him and go with a different writer/director.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Watched a Hitchcock movie I had never heard of called Shadow of a Doubt. Good. Not his best by any stretch, but suspenseful and enjoyable.

Oh right, also saw The Bank Job with Jason Statham. Some idiot played a character called Michael X and he may have been the worst actor ever. Other than that it was good. Boobings in abundance, torture, suspense, violence, twists, turns... fun movie.

Iron Eagle was on after the Phils game tonight, this may have already been covered but it has to rank in the top 10 so-bad-but-you-can't-turn-it-off movies of all time.

The Dark Knight 4.5/5 - figured I waited long enough to see it so I caught it in IMAX. Unbelievable movie, went a little too long for my liking but the last 15-30 minutes was basically a setup for the next film so no biggie. Wasn't too big of a fan of the end and didn't understand why someone had to take the fall. Wasn't a big fan of Gylenhall as a professional women type, she was pretty much the only downer acting wise in the entire film.
