Rome

I watched the original X-Men over the weekend.  I've seen bits and pieces of it over the years but never actually sat down and watched it from start to finish.

Now I know why.  It was boring and predictable as hell.

2/5 and only because Halle Berry was in it.

Ok, it wasn't THAT good.

Funny you mention that.  "Batman Begins" is currently #100 on the nose.

Leaked from comic con

pretty sure that was one of the previews before tdk wasnt it?

not that i saw

and they usually make sure they debut that stuff at an event like that.  they wouldn't show it if you could see it at the movies.

The only full preview I saw in the IMAX showing was for "Watchmen."  The showing was 2:00 and TDK was starting around 2:05.

mussa

yea and no way a Marvel movie would be previewed before a DC comics. they showed previews for two graphic novel movies coming out, the spirit and the watchmen. both look awesome

they one that might be good is the dicaprio/crowe one, written by the same guy who wrote the departed.

that one looked the most nondescript to me.  i'll give it a shot because of who is in it, but it doesn't look overly great.

I think you always get fewer previews in IMAX, just due to the format.  I did, however, have to buy my tickets a week early, pay $13.50 each, and wait in line for over 30 minutes to get reasonable seats.

All definitely worth it, though.  Great theater experience.

I did think of a complaint, though.  The "magic trick" scene wasn't nearly as fun as it had been hyped up to be.  I guess the R rating could have given that a lot more of a cringe factor, though.  The "ta daaa" afterwards was a very nice touch.

MDS

yea thats why i said might be good

dicaprio
crowe
bill monahan
ridley scott
violence

you figure they wouldnt farg that up too bad....
