The kingdom was a major let down. I'd hear good things about it but I'd say igy is pretty much spot on.

No County For Old Men was farging awesome. Bardem was the perfect guy for that role and I enjoy it thoroughly...that was up until the end. I didn't dig the ending. 7/10 (9 if the ending was better)

There Will Be Blood: farging terrible. The pace is entirely too slow and the movie is like 2:45 long and it accomplishes nothing. If not for Lewis I'd give it a 0.

2/10

We are Marshall  It was your typical sappy story, football team becomes a team but only wins 2 games all year.  Ian Mcshane was horribly miscast for this movie, all i could see was him telling the hot cheerleader to show him her snatch and make him some money.  I did like the Bobby Bowden part, never knew he offered them the WVU facilities  2.5/5 since this movie doesnt stick out from the other FB movies

ive been meaning to see this for the last month or so but every time im about to go someone tells me the same thing you just posted phreak....that the story is amazingly slow and has no end game...and the only reason to see it at all is for ddl performance...i dont doubt that hes incredible but at the same time im not trying to give away three hrs of my life to see one guy act

anyway...

28 weeks later - solid movie that definitely compared to the original....the high points werent nearly as good but it didnt have the horrible ending that the og had...i liked most everything about it except for the phony helicopter decapitation scene...that shtein was ridiculous...i also didnt like how the father somehow kept showing up where ever this kids were...super unbelievable...but overall the movie was good and short and to the point which is always a good thing and something the og lacked

7/10

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

I found it rather hilarious they had so many security measures to keep the infected out, yet they get an infected women and just leave her alone in a room strapped to a bed for any moron with a security card to get to.

seriously? dear god they breed stupid people in texas like it's nothing.

Gone Baby Gone- well-executed crime story. the movie was based on a book written by dennis lehane, who writes for some show called the wire. anyone beadie russell was really good, omar popped in for a small role and the story had a great "what would you do?" type ending. also it reaffirmed my position that only trashy white people live in boston. 3/5
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

You actually saw There Will Be Blood and liked it?

Yes, it was a good movie. A compelling, intense story + great acting = a good movie.

I dont know, I just dont see all those things.

I agree the acting was great. But I had serious problems with the length and the slow developing story. I came away from it wanting more. I was like "is that all?"

I dont mind a long movie when its interesting. But that felt tedious and I almost fell asleep.

Across the Universe - I enjoyed it for the most part. Ending was sort of abrupt 4/5

Eastern Promises - Viggo's role was pretty good. Felt the story just didn't go into as much detail as it should have. I thought they could of gone into detail more of Viggo's cop connection..some other areas also. Anyway 3/5

I saw Eastern Promises as well...I wasn't impressed with any part of it.

I dont think it's all that great of an acting feat to be able to speak with an accent for about 2 hours. If you want a movie like that, watch Donnie Brasco instead.

Into the Wild- reeked of egotism, self-congratulations and told in pompous, arrogant, god-like tone. yes, you could really tell that sean penn wrote and directed it. still, it was a fascinating story and since the entire thing was shot on location, it made for some great shots of the woods and such. also hal hoolbrook was unbelievable in his role. one of the better performances i've ever seen. but penn took some liberties with the story and it dragged on a bit. still, not bad. 3/5
