It's a generational thing.  If you grew up in the 1970's you'd understand.  Aykroyd & Belushi were like rock stars and the movie, itself, was excellent.  Incredible music, great action & chase scenes, and the cast was excellent.

I've probably seen it fifty times and it still holds up.

I never really understood the big stink over the Blues brothers. It was kinda funny, and it had some good music, but...
I mean, it had like 10 jokes in the whole movie.
Maybe b/c the skit was before my time, but I never saw why this movie was such a huge deal.

couldnt agree more....a classic overated movie

Any movie that has John Lee Hooker, James Brown, John Candy & Carrie Fisher in it can't be overrated, you whitebread honky.

310 to yuma- classic throwback western. no real complaints, bale and crowe were both very solid. but for some reason they decided to cast the pirate from dodgeball as the doctor. didnt see that one. 3.5./5

the dreamers- it popped up on one of the 2 movie channels i have and since i knew this featured massive amounts of naked eva green, i watched it. and yea, it had massive amounts of eva green. they had some serious scenes with her naked, and i just wasnt paying attention. i cant even remember what the movie was about. she has a great bush. 5/5
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Hahaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Make sure you watch the trailer.

Btw... I'd hit it.  :paranoid

Saw Eastern Promises last night. I'll echo what everyone else said though I probably liked it a little more than others here. Ultimately you just don't care that much about Naomi Watts' character, but more importantly, the interesting part of the plot is Viggo's storyline so the attempt to focus at all on Naomi (who stays completely clothed throughout, gay) takes away from the far more interesting part of the plot. Anyway, it was good but not that good.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

A lot of rumors out there... this one is the newest:

QuoteSOURCES: NBC And Hollywood Foreign Press Association Cancel Televised Golden Globes; Entire Event Will Be Scrapped

The Hollywood writers strike can now claim its first awards show casualty. The latest I'm hearing from my sources as of a few minutes ago is that NBC will not be televising the Golden Globes as planned on January 13th. Insiders tell me also that the entire event, even if it were held untelevised, will be cancelled. And the Hollywood Foreign Press Association instead will merely make an announcement of the winners. I've not yet received any official confirmation of any of this. But insiders tell me that NBC Universal topper Jeff Zucker and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association which bestows the Golden Globes made the decision together.

I like how the leader of the Chicago Nazi chapter drives around in a Ford Pinto.  Badass.

Did you guys catch the trailer for Jack Black's new movie "Be Kind...Rewind"?  He accidentally erases a video store's tapes so he and his friend have to recreate each movie and record it.   Looks like it might end up somewhere between School of Rock and Nacho Libre....

I'm sorry to say that I'm more interested in seeing Kung Fu Panda than Be Kind Rewind.
