Unwatchable.  I like vampire/zombie movies, but it was terrible.

It's above 50% on rottentomatoes, so don't let me dissuade you, but everyone I went with thought it was terrible as well.  The vampires were cool, but underdeveloped like everything else in the movie.

Yeah its getting about 50/50 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. I still plan on seeing it, but as discussed, my expectations are low.

I watched Perfect Stranger the other night.  boo.  Halle Berry's overacting in the first 20 minutes is laughable.  Really makes you start out hating it.  It got a little better, ending was a little surprising, but overall nothing special.

i've heard a lot of people say this.  i never saw titanic, but i can't really remember when dicaprio was ever a bad actor, growing pains aside. 

Titanic might have had the worst dialogue ever written.
It is hard to work with that mess.
They made a $225 million dollar movie and forgot to write a script until the last two weeks.

Even if American Gangster sucks (which I doubt), it has to have the best trailer of all time.

It looks like your standard crime rise and fall bullisht. I mean it has a good song and all...

Also, two lame moments right in the trailer:

A: T.I.P. is in the movie - Rappers acting (excpet Ice-Cube in Boyz)=Ghey

B: At the end "This is America"  - how sterotypical is that? Is that a prerequisite in every kingpin movie since Scarface? They might as well show him on his knees yelling "Nooooooo!"

I think you just have a man-crush on Denzel after Training Day and Man on Fire.
Which is, you know, understandable.
