Watched it last night.  Overall I liked the movie but there were a few things about it that annoyed me.  John Tutoro's character was one of them.  He wasn't a good fit for this movie imo.  Would have liked to have seen a few more transformers in the movie but there will definately be a sequel to this one that should introduce more of them.  I did think that they did a great job portraying Optimus Prime though in the same way that he was portrayed in the comics/cartoon.

I'd also like to point out that this movie was racist because Jazz, who has always been the token black guy, dies.

3.5/5

lol, dude i said the same thing when i saw that. i watched it tonight and was very impressed with the obvious special effects. course they had to cheese it out with dialogue and unnecessary moments, but thats expected. i thought it was good though minus the big blockbuster moments that every movie like this has. 4/5

also watched planet terror. awesome in all the right ways. Rose McGowan has a beginning scene like no other. wow  :o

Watched Disturbia last night. Was really pleasantly surprised with how good it was. It built a surprising amount of suspense and the climactic scene was fairly heart pounding. The one thing that stood out was that the lead actor, Frenchy LaBeoff or whatever, was really good. I mean, it wasn't the most difficult part on earth to play, but neither were the supporting parts of his girlfriend and best friend and those two jackasses couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. Frenchy just delivered a solid performance that made the movie much better than it probably should have been. 7/10

Finally saw Transformers yesterday.  Pretty damn good movie.  Like everyone else pretty much said, top-notch SFX and action... funny and all that.

4/5

My only gripe in the movie...

AND THIS COULD BE CONSIDERED SOMEWHAT OF A SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT

Just like in any other movie where the token black man dies... why the farg does the token black robot (Jazz) have to be the ONLY Autobot to die?!?!?!

bug was alright. it was marketed as a horror movie which it really is not. i hate when they do that cause you go in expecting a horror plot but its more of a study on the human mind, loneliness, and desperation. if you know what your getting its not a bad movie. the acting is pretty good but its a lil slow and takes forever to build up. i rented it and a lot of my friends flat out hated it (mostly because they expected a scary movie) and some enjoyed the ending. i thought it was ok.

labeouf plays the same role in disturbia as he does in transformers...the confused, nerdy/geeky, awkward teen who likes this hot girl but is super nervous around her. in one movie there is a killer next door and the other there are killer robots.

i enjoyed both a lot.

btw this kid is going to be the next big thing....his acting is pretty good and his next movie is the indian jones movie and the transformers sequel.

Funniest part about Jazz getting owned by Megatron was at the end when they hand him to Optimus Prime he gives him dick for props. "We lost a good commrade.....meh......we got more white ones though. Shibby." Then he basically tosses away Jazz's robot corpse.
