i think departed was the first good thing dicaprio ever did...minus the awful accent he was good in blood diamond...he seems to have turned a corner lately but prior to these movies hes been pretty bad imo

he was also awesome in the aviator and catch me if you can.

Yes.  Cheadle still might have the edge though.  Unlike DiCaprio, he hasn't sucked in ANYTHING he's done.

Again... truth.  I honestly can't think of any role he's done where he didn't play the hell out of the role.


Not only that, but he picks good shtein to do. Just about every movie he's in, especially in a leading role... right off the bet, you expect it to be quality shtein.

He did play the ghost or whatever in that Nic Cage fluff piece "Family Man"... but he was the friendliest black ghost ever.

He was slightly brutal, as were all the other actors, in the Ocean's 11/12/13 movies... but still entertaining with the British accent.

Never saw Family Man.  Want to at some point though.

As far as the Ocean's movies... I loved 11, hated 12, and haven't seen 13, but I actually loved (or figure to love) Cheadle's parts in all of them.


I'm excited to see this new one he has coming out in the next few weeks, "Talk to Me".

Yeah, it's not one of the big blockbusters of the summer so it's not getting a whole lot of advertising behind it.  Plus it's in limited release, I believe.


And it actually came out today.

I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It was terrible. And Vince Vaughn was funny. In spite of the fact that Pitt and Jolie got together while filming this mess, there wasn't any sexual chemistry on screen at all. She's still smokin' but there was nothing exciting about this crapola.
