hes great but more so in a technical actors studio type way not so much on the entertaining side...cant think of any psh movies that have a high replay value...capote is the perfect example...he puts on a clinic and its a great movie but im putting on traffic or devil with a blue dress to watch cheadle 10 times out of 10 before i watch capote again...if i ever watch it again

Devil with a Blue Dress is one of those guilty little pleasures.  Everyone in that film is spot on (although no one more than Cheadle).

In other news, I saw 1408 last night, and loved it.  It's been a long time since a scary movie (i.e. not a gory movie) has been out.
"You can't take her twice."  Ouch.
Anyone but Reid.

Watched 'Pans Labrynth' last night.

I give it a solid 8.5 out of 10.

Story was cool, perfectly executed violence...surprising as well. The weird monster was creepy(not the faun). It was pretty cool all around other than

*******SPOILER********

right before the end, you pretty much know what happens to the little girl.

I do like what they told the captain before they shot him.

'He'll never know your name'  HA!!

agreed.  i thought that movie was great.  at least twice i found myself yelling "no shtein" out loud.

i watched Alpha Dog last night.  not bad.  i didn't really understand why everyone in the movie was scared of the little douchebag johnny trueblood, i guess because his dad was hot shtein, but that kinda bothered me.  anyway, it was entertaining, but i thought it was going to be a little darker and not so 90210-ish.

Saw Ratatouille yesterday.  Excellent movie.  Of course, most of the Pixar movies are the same in terms of plot, excellence in animation, score & voice characterizations, but this one was special.  It's definitely the best of the bunch since Monsters, Inc.

4.5/5

I agree. I took my sister to see it this afternoon and I really enjoyed it. Patton Oswalt is the voice of the rat and it fit the character well.

same rating as you

Just watched "Jesus Camp".  I have this inexplicable urge to systematically exterminate every Evangelical Christian on the planet.

Except for the ones on my GhoulPool list;  I don't want to get disqualified.
Anyone but Reid.

I thought it was pretty good, as far as cartoons go....but a little slow and a little too long.  4/5

superbad

never heard of this movie until yesterday but it sounds and looks like its right down a lot of yours alley....this is a post from another board i frequent....

Just got back from seeing it downtown.

Holy ******* shyte! It makes Knocked Up look like a PG romantic comedy. The first 20 or 30 minutes of just dialog is like non-stop funny.

If you don't know what it is and you like GOOD R-rated comedy, do yourself a favor and try to avoid the trailers online and if possible on TV and just go see it when it comes out.

a couple of weeks ago we had posted some trailers from Youtube in this thread and talked about it...it looks really funny and i can't wait to see it.

now, i could've posted some smart ass 'man on the moon' newspaper clipping or something, but i don't roll like that

they had a sneak preview of superbad at union station last night, i almost went.  looks funny as shtein.

watched Factotum the other day, movie based on the life of Charles Bukowski.  Meh.  Not great but some nice titty shots of Marisa Tomei and some other sloots.  Matt Dillon was ok.
