Prince of the City -  9/10  great older flick.  Treat Williams is awesome in this one.
Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus - 3/10  possibly the strangest movie I have seen in some time.  Felt creepy just watching it.
Straw Dogs- 7/10   Dustin Hoffman gets nutty.  One of the better taglines "The knock at the door meant the birth of one man and the death of seven others!" ha.

The Omen - not all I was expecting. for the time maybe gets a 3/5.

The original? Because that one is great. Really quality shtein.

Lee Grant was hot in The Omen.

The original is a 5/5.  The remake wasn't as good but it wasn't bad.  More like the 3/5 mussa's talking about.

Beermonkey

I saw the Wicker Man over the weekend & give it 2/5.

The best part was Lee Lee Sobieski getting side-kicked in the chest & some Kathy Bates look-a-like getting knocked out by a roundhouse from Nicholas Cage. The worst part was the rest of the movie.

Yes. The original. Honestly didn't think it was that great. I was expecting like some Amittyville or Exorcist type movie. Like crazy possessed little dude. I guess the later two being based on true stories helps with the scare factor alittle more.

What makes it 5/5 in your opinions?

I thought Amittyville was hideously overrated. Still scary, but not the freakout that people give it credit for.

The usual stuff... the acting, the script, the pacing of the movie, the music...  overall it was scary as shtein when it came out (I was just a kid but I do remember seeing it on cable when it was first released there).

Gregory Peck is excellent too.

PS: I made a mistake earlier.  I meant Lee Remick, not Lee Grant.  Lee Grant was in Damien II.

What Rome said. Peck is outstanding. The child isn't annoying as most child actors are. An excellent script, blah blah blah...

Pursuit of Happyness - 5/5

I loved this movie. Will Smith and his son were great in it and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Is it an all-timer? No. But I give it a 5 because I thought it was very good.
