Definitely DO NOT take your children to Pan's Labrynth. It's violent and deals with extremely adult problems like spousal abuse, child abuse, murder, suicidal tendencies, war and death. Not a good idea.

i'm not sure, Sesame Street just did their annual "Spousal Abuse, Child Abuse, Murder, Suicidal Tendencies, War, Death, and Going Pee Pee" special...i think my kids can handle it

i honestly think they'd be too upset from the rape to want to watch a movie

your passion for children came seeping through your tough guy facade

Maybe my hatred of crying children overwhelmed my normally natural urge to terrify them. Either way, I suck.

Pan's Labrynth: 4/5 ....pretty damn good.

I've heard that it isn't really suited for younger kids though? (6-7 years old)  Don't know if you have kids, but what did you think of it in that area?

Considering it is rated R, I would say...sure...let them watch it. Leave them alone with the lights out too.

ORLY? I didn't know it was rated R.  From what they showed during the Oscars I thought it was a kids' movie! :paranoid

Flightplan 4/5 - Surprisingly good, the first 15 or so minutes bored me to death, but the rest was good.  Jodie Foster did her usual great acting job, definitely made the movie.  Though much like an M. Night movie, once you know the twist it looses something.  If you see it, watch the bonus feature on the making of the airplane.  Lots of interesting stuff about how they designed the set to be able to make some incredible shots that would not have been possible if filmed inside a real plane.
Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.

to each his own but flightplan was horrendous.....its plausibility factor is in the negative numbers....it was just ridiculous

s hunter all up in ya area...

So that's the first wrinkle. Wait, no, it's the third wrinkle. The first wrinkle is the discovery that Costner is playing the better half of Mr. Brooks and the second wrinkle is that the usually benevolent Hurt is playing the worse half. The fourth wrinkle, I suppose, is that Cook isn't supposed to be funny but scurvy. Or maybe that's the fifth wrinkle, with the fourth wrinkle being the discovery that Demi Moore doesn't play the wife but the cop. Then the sixth wrinkle -- or fifth, moving five back to six -- is that the cop is rich: She's worth $60 mil. She's in it for the sense of her own mastery.

Well, as you can tell, the movie is flawed, alas, by what might be called wrinkle madness. Twists, twists, twists, oh my God, it's the frozen head of Adolf Hitler!, that sort of thing. It has more wrinkles than my face. It's all wrinkly. Has it been in the bath too long? Is it a raisin, an old baseball glove, the sheets after a nightmare? And I haven't even hinted at the wrinkle about the daughter.

Watched 40 Year Old Virgin last night.   It was actually a lot funnier than I thought it'd be.  Decent flick but probably not good beyond 2 or 3 viewings.  2.999999999999999993/5

Casino Royale - 3/5

I want to rate it higher, but the regular cops shooting out the truck tires with rifles and the whole love thing brought it down a little bit for me. On a positive note, the girl has promised to stop trying to kick me in the balls.

The man. The myth. The legend.

it's actually one of those that gets better every time you watch it.

Maybe it does for you but that's because you're a big poopie head.  For me, the jokes would be laughable a few more times and then it would become unfunny.  Kind of like you.

True.  I don't even laugh at your jokes the first time.
