I watched "All The Presidents Men" again tonight for about the bazillionth time.  One of the best movies ever, period.

I kept thinking as I was watching it that there's no way in hell that reporters today would have the balls to write that story much less an editor like Ben Bradlee who would approve its publishing.

How sad.

heh.   It is a good movie no doubt, but how can you watch it over and over?   Nothing personal, I just find it interesting what movies people keep returning too.   For me it is Predator.   ha.

Trust me, I'm no movie snob.  I've watched "The Last Boy Scout" probably 20 times over the years, myself.   :-D

It was on our local PBS station tonight so me and the old lady watched it together.  She had never seen it before and when I noticed it on the tv listing guide, she told me she wanted to see it.  The way I look at it, at least she didn't ask me to watch American Idol with her.

last boy scout always reminds me of the one chicken line.   I laughed my ass off the first time I saw that movie at that line.

Why did Milo cross the road..?

Im not sure, Why?

Because his dick was stuck in the chicken.

I've probably seen "Demolition Man" at least 7 times.  It's so bad it's good.

Also, I've seen "T2" at least 10 times and "Die Hard" at least 20.

"The Gumball Rally" is one of my favorite movies.  I've seen that at least 20 times.

I "win."

The original Die Hard is just flat out a sick movie.  I watch it every time I notice it is on TV, even with the bastichization they do to it.

"Yippy Kiyiyeh you German mother?"  Seriously
Fletch:  Can I borrow your towel for a sec? My car just hit a water buffalo.

Father Demon

'Animal House' is my all-time high repeat movie...    Over 70 times now.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Rewatched American Beauty last night. What a farging good movie.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

It didn't have any black people. So no.

Ain't that the truth.  There was a token "extra" reporter here or there in scattered scenes but the rest of that movie was lily white.

Then again, so were most newsrooms 35 years ago.  Nothing shocking there.

I finally got to watch "Casino Royale" last night & thought it kicked some serious ass. I lost all interest in the Bond franchise during the Timothy Dalton/Pierce Brosnan era, but if they can produce future Bond movies in this style, I'd be back on.

I thought Brosnan made a good Bond, but the quality of the writing/movies themselves just wasn't that good.

GoldenEye is pretty awesome though. I also enjoyed The World Is Not Enough a little more then most people did, for some reason.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
