Does Blockbuster.com have HD DVDs?

If they do, I have not seen them yet.   My guess is no.

overrated. its one big poker game. how exciting.

Which, amazingly enough, actually follows the major plot line of the novel the movie is based on (except the card game in question in the novel was baccarat).  That in and of itself makes Casino Royale unique among Bond movies made since about 1968.

Unique to some, boring to me. Poker is on every fargin channel on TV. its the last thing i want to see in a movie, let alone a secret agent who should be fargin shtein up. double-O-douchebag

Actually sticking to a plotline made Casino Royale more interesting to me than the past few Bond movies have been (though Sophie Marceau kept me at rapt attention in The World Is Not Enough.

Casino Royale had more... depth (is that appropriate?) than a Bond movie since On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1968.

But to each his own.

there was so much more to Casino Royale than "a big poker game"

even though i never read the book, i had a feeling this was the case.  Texas Hold'Em felt forced for the card game.  i doubt that they would play Texas Hold'Em for a tournament with the stakes that high.

I've played Baccarat and suck at it.  But the dealers at Cesars are very helpful when its not wall to wall.

Geo, are you on spring break?

That was the idea - my school is out this week.  But my plans were interrupted by a sick kid (insert smarmy comment from Dio here), so things haven't worked out the way they were planned.

that sucks, my coworkers kids have been fighting nasty virus since april started.

Admittedly, the grand plans are getting the former spare room ready for the new occupant coming in about five weeks.

And I'm getting rid of one of my "collections" - a grand assortment of old sports magazines from the past 15-20 years.  Since I tend to be a pack rat, and I had the spare room closet adapted to hold my sports collections, I've accumulated a few hundred magazines.  Basically, I keep everything.  But, since that room is now being taken, there's no place to store them anymore.

I'm keeping the "important" stuff (mainly old Phillies yearbooks), and the rest are going in a big yard sale tomorrow.

WOOT family life!  :D
