I have read it...when there was nothing else to read on the can at work..I'd fish to the bottom of the discard bin for something else before I'd settle for that crap.  It's almost as lowbrow as you can...just a step above a glossy paparazzi photo collage rag.  It is not the Time or Newsweek of anything..it would be lucky to be compared to People.

To equate books with 'entertainment,' and to characterize Entertainment Magazine as 'great' at anything more than advertising, sums up the vigy intellect nicely.

I agree with you regarding the vacuous nature of entertainment magazines specifically, not to mention our culture's morbid and creepy fixation on "celebrity" as a whole, Dio.

Just thought I'd post a link so that casual readers of this thread might have an idea what the fuss was all about.

so some people like a magazine and some don't....it's madness

this has inspired me to start a magazine thread...i'm psyched about it!

If I had a vote, "Screw" would be the first entry.

a buddy of mine somehow could add an entertainmnet weekly  subscription to a friend for free so i got it for about a year.  it's pretty good taking a poo material.  tells you of upcoming movies, new music, etc.

i agree with Dio. those magazines are about as worthless as the people in them. its all gossip, gossip, gossip, and 1% info on entertainment. phatty had it right too, its a good mag to look at when takin a shtein.
