He was good in "The Guardian".  The Guardian actually suprised me as being a good movie.

I said the same thing and got all kinds of shtein for it.  :-D

Finally saw Borat. Found it behind my entertainment center. God knows how long it's been back there.  :-\

Pretty friggin' funny. More so in the subtle bits (like the voiceovers, left blinker, right turn, etc...) than the in-your-face obvious stuff. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

I saw the billboard for this Broad Street yesterday. Seriously everyone in the movie industry should be shot.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Anyway, I'm going to have to agree with rjs on this. They are both movies that are great to watch but for VERY different reasons, so comparing them is pretty pointless.

You started this conversation by comparing the two movies, but now you're going to go ahead and wuss out... and give a little tug on rjs' penis on the way in hopes he won't call you out on it.

Good form, nancy, and nice try.

I did not compare the films, I was just baffled by IGY's insistance that Friday is a (at least for him) top 10 all time movie, but American Beauty doesn't even reach his top 20. If you want to actually compare the two as films, then American Beauty is superior. Friday is funny as shtein and all but still..

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

MURP

The Good Shepherd - 7/10    too long, strange atmosphere/mood was kinda different.  casting Alex Baldwin gives it an automatic extra point.

The Night Listener was surprisingly good.  I heard bad things about it but I liked it.  Suspenseful, thought provoking, and only like an hour and fifteen minutes long.

I saw Borat last night. It was pretty meh. There were some laugh out loud parts for sure, but I just didn't find it to be as hilarious as I expected. 5/10.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

my cousins go to some crazy jesus camp, my uncle married into a crazy part mormon reformed church of latter day saints family.  He lets his daughters go to church with the rest of the family.  It bags me up to have 10 year olds trying to preach to me.  Im pretty sure they'll end up on smack

yeah thats what they were doing in the documentary....trying to convert people on street corners

this eight year girl goes up to this 60 year old black guy out of the blue and asks him where hes gonna go when he dies....dook replies "heaven"...she hands him a card then as she is walking away she says to another kid thats with her "he was probably muslim"

they'd end up smacked if they tried that shtein with any grown up in my family, not just me.  our family values don't afford children the room to behave like shteinheads towards adults or each other

particularly sickening in the doc was footage of ted haggard preaching hate against homosexuals and smugly talking shtein to the filmmakers camera trying to embarrass them in front of his congregation

i just wish the film had not been finished before the shtein hit the fan in regards to his relationship with a homosexual drug abusing prostitute

sounds like a Law and Order episode.

Father Demon

Took my oldest son to see Blades of Glory last night.  He had a blast, and I have to say I enjoyed it to, considering I wasn't expecting much because of the whole Will-Farrel-In-A-Lead thing.

But I will say he is one lucky SOB with Jenna Fischer!!
