Free screening of Knocked Up (new movie from Judd Apatow, guy who did 40 year old Virgin) on Monday at the Temple Theater. I want to remember to go to that, but I'm probably not.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I see what you did there.

Nice.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Watched an excellent documentary this morning.  I had seen it before but it was on hdtv this morning so I watched it again.

"Trinity and Beyond."

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114728/

Excellent account of the race to develop, test and stockpile nuclear weapons in the U.S. and Russia in the 1940's-1960's.  Amazing archival footage of numerous tests including the largest yield nuclear explosion ever detonated (Tsar - Russia).

Just an amazing look into the insanity and paranoia that gripped this country during that era.  It's shocking we managed to live through it.

5/5

Allowing yourself to be swayed by internet dorks rather than sticking to your guns and blindly following the directives of a professional movie geek = weak sauce, dookie.

No soup for you, evar.

HA...I got that tape (trinity and beyond) back in HS it came with 3D glasses and my buds and i would smoke drugs and watch nuclear explosions.  I always loved the Nuclear Artillery shell that they showed

Now igy's gonna throw us off by saying how much he liked it. 9/10

a -grindhouse....the movies as you would expect are horrible...the first half of tarantinos picture is the only thing you would consider watchable...they do a great job of imitating 70's b movies...but 70's b movies were unwatchable in the 70's and they are unwatchable now

that said i am glad i went as the experience of going and seeing a matinee double feature gore fest cheesy slasher flick was kind cool...the theater was raucous with people talking tyhe whole time yelling screaming laughing out loud...it was definitely different from your average movie...im sure this will never be done again and if it was id slash my own throat before going but i can say i went this time and thats worth something

PSA: dont bring your girlfriend (or really anyone) that doesnt know what a grindhouse is or who roger corman is or what it means to be a 1960 or 70's B movie...my girl went with me and didnt understand at all what was going on and it turned into the single worst experience of her life...not movie going experience...ANY experience...theres a 50/50 chance she leaves me over this...

perhaps the best part of the 'movie' were the b - faux trailers...they were pretty funny especially eli roths 'thanksgiving'...

anyway like i said im glad i went but they definitely arent for everyone and absolutely do not go for the movies themselves go for the movie theater c - experience

a - 3/10
b - 7/10
c - 9/10

its only fair...because if anyone is going to see a good movie they should know that it sucks...but at the same time it can be worth going...most movies dont come with an experience you just go to see a good movie...not the case here...not even close

youre welcome
