watched Sherry Baby tonight.  blah.  ok movie i guess, nothing great about it.  and all of you who think maggie gyllenhal is hot must walk around wal-mart or the rest stops on 95 with raging hard-ons, because 75% of the chicks you see there are just as good looking as her.

Against all logical thinking, the girl and I watched the 5 Batman movies that don't have Adam West and/or shark repellant in them yesterday. While we were watching that, I was downloading good movies to watch some other day.

Batman - Holy batcrap, this movie is 20 years old already? It hasn't aged well. I can't believe it's the SERIOUS BISNESS one of the old movies. It's laughable now, and I can't believe it was supposed to be a good movie when it was new. 3/5, for the art gallery scene with Jack Nicholson dancing to Prince songs.

Batman Returns - Two stars alone for Michelle Pfeiffer. One star for Walken's voice. Half a star off for his son Skip. Half a star for The Penguin. One star for the Rubber Ducky with Ferrari doors and machine guns. Total - 3/5

Batman Forever - This is the dawning of the da-glo street gangs and Alfred's fixation with rubber nipples and hard butt plates. Truly these were terrible times. 2/5

Batman and Robin - God Bless Uma Thurman and Ahnold. They really got into their cheesy lines. Typical movie for Arnold, really. Uma really gave it her b-movie all and did a fantastic job of being awful. Everyone else in the movie should burn in hell. 1/5

Batman Begins - Slow plot building through an actual backstory while American Psycho and his knighted butler build the batsuit  one piece at a time. Had they actually found someone who could act for the one female part in the movie it would be damn near perfect. 4/5
