Just watched the Dark Crystal with my kids. All done with puppets but it was pretty good for an old fantasy flick. Jim Henson classic.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Picked up "Rocky Balboa" and "Blood Diamond" this morning.  Actually very interested in seeing both of them.

Im excited to see Blood Diamond.  For some reason that trade has always had my interest.

Borat 3/5 First half was very funny, after the character novelty wore off the movie got a little boring. The Jew jokes were funny.

Watched 'Morvern Callar'.

Interesting first scene...as it opens up with her laying next to her dead boyfriends body with the christmas lights blinking off an on...her boyfriend committed suicide. Cool. After that first 4 to 5 minutes, the movie gets blown to hell. Her character never gets a chance to develop so that you can follow what the farg is happening. All you see is some freaky chick who goes out the same night her man died, doesn't call the cops and goes to a party. She then just goes wild, but not in any particular form where you can see whats motivating her to act this way. This movie is too patchy, it doesn't flow in the sense where shtein is pretty much non sequitur.

I tried to give this indy film a shot, but it backfired. Thank god Blockbuster didn't charge us a late.

1 out of 5. Bad.

Watched Mean Creek last night. A depressing indy film that was really well acted by the cast of mostly children. They acted the way I would expect children to act in a completely farged up situation and the tension that was created in the movie was impressive. Having said all of that, it wasn't actually that enjoyable.

5/10
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Casino Royale was indeed excellent.  Action was great, the plot was less ridiculous than I expected, and they kept the gimmicks and gadgets to a minimum which is nice.  Also - I loved the chemistry between Craig & Eva Green.  She's definitely the best Bond girl I've seen in ages (even better than Halle Berry - sorry Feva).

The best part of the movie was Craig's laconic approach to the role of Bond.  His performance definitely was reminiscent of Connery's in "Dr. No."  He was all business even if the brief love scenes he had with Green were a bit too sentimental.

Judy Densch was amazing as 'M' as well.

A solid 4/5 for Casino Royale and I can't wait to see the sequel too.
