Trainspotting- Reaffirms my position that all people from Scotland suck  :cfhead :cfhead 1/2
The Prestige- Awsome, Chris Nolan is the man :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead
Children of Men- Like Memento, immediatley vaults into my top 10. The scene in the van was unlike anything ive ever seen in a moviefilm. :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I will certainly say Tenacious D was brilliant.  Movie was farging hilarious.   A lot of the stuff only a metal head would appreciate anyway, so forgive FF and his Dave Mathews tshirts.

1.  I hate Dave Matthews and enjoy/own most of the bands referenced in "Pick of Destiny".
2.  The movie took juvenile marijuana humor down to an even lower level than "Grandma's Boy".

I'll be interested to see what people like IGY and Dio have to say about this movie when/if they see it.  Like I said, it has a few laughs, but there's nothing subtle about them, and there's nothing that's really "inside metalhead jargon".  It's humor best-suited to a 35-year-old that lives in his parents' basement, smokes weed, has an IQ roughly around 78, and swears that it's still 1984.

His fans are one of the biggest reasons he's to be hated.  There are people that are fanatical about his extremely mediocre music, and every single one of them is a farging moron, without exception.

BTW, the one cool thing about "Pick of Destiny" was that Dave Grohl played satan.  He rules.

The old dave was nice, but yeah, the sandal wearing/shelled necklace fans need to be gutted in public.

i don't think there have been dave matthews fans for about 10 years.  i'm not a fan either, but when i was in HS/college i went to about 7 or 8 shows just to do a lot of drugs.  i've never actually went into a concert or seen him play (maybe once), but i used to trade my tickets for kind bud or mushrooms.  he had some great parking lots at the blockbuster center in camden.

Same here phatty, the sound of tanks makes me happy.  I went to 2, one in 99 one in 2000.  The 2000 show we left after 25 minutes to tailgate because noone cared about the show, we just wanted to get plastered.

Pretty much sums it up for me, too. I was amused by the first 1/3 of it, but I must confess that I missed the rest of it because I dozed off.

The Protector was pretty good, as far as martial arts movies go. Pretty good production, and the fight scenes were quite well done. No Crouching Tiger wire tricks, from what I could tell. Just straight up asskicking. The sound track was a little strange, but since it was translated, overdubbed, and subtitled...I'll give it a pass on that.

im gonna watch the prestige today...better be as good as all you idiots claim

It's not without faults.  But it's a pretty damn good movie and a lot more interesting and well-made than most.
