The movie theatre on Broad and Oxford is showing Stomp the Yard and Norbit on three of the 8 screens. I had the opportunity to see either one for free (as well as Ghost Rider and some others) last night and didnt.

On the other hand, white America views The Wire as a black show, and it turns out that the Wire is the best show on TV.

even tho i think its much better i dont ask for the wire to be recognized like the sopranos but the lack of attention it gets is a travesty...especially when you consider how overhyped something like entourage is

this is the first year i can ever remember that i've seen more than one best picture nomination.  in fact, once i see babel i think i'll have seen them all.

i have babel at home on netflix and i too will have seen all the best pics noms once i watch it....but i never see less than three of them and numerous times ive seen all five

That's a ridiculous statement, because 4 out of every 5 "black" movies is a complete piece of crap like "Crossover" or "Norbit" or "Big Momma's House".

lolol...so white people have better taste than black people

just because commercials for norbit and big mommas house are the closest you get to black cinema doesnt mean that all black movies suck

of course there are exceptions to the rule but its common knowledge that white people dont crossover to black movies like black people do to white movies....black movie stars dont crossover either...there are exceptions like denzel but its few and far between...and until they do they dont get roles in anything but black movies...just look at the black actors that continuously get recycled over and over again...meanwhile you have a whole new young crop of white actors on the come up

when black movies and/or black movie stars become more accepted by whites is when there will be more color in hollywood....period
