im just saying its not a chick flick and shouldnt be labeled as such

i do agree that it will appeal to woman more than men for the obvious reasons and because many men wont watch it for fear of looking unmanly

but as i said its no more a chick flick than wall street or any one of a million movies that has a character (usually a nerd who turns popular) sell out their friends and lose themselves to later on at the end of the movie find themselves and make right with the people they dissed

You call Cena average sized? Now that's funny. He's 240 and lean, sorry, but no one has genetics that great. I talk to a lot of 'roid heads' at my local gym, they stick out like a sore thumb. It's not like the WWE tests for the shtein.

Actually, the WWE does test for 'roids now.  Been doing it for about a year or two now.  They got really serious about it after the death of Eddie Guerrero.
Well then I stand corrected - there are a ton of masking agents. Do you know how much a steroid test costs? Not to mention, they can't test for HGH. they're not very hard to beat.

QuoteThe WWE promised to test wrestlers for steroids. However, the policy, as boasted on ESPN Outside the Lines, is only testing based on appearance. That's right, if a wrestler LOOKS like he's on the juice, the WWE will test him.
I seriously doubt any wrestler today hasn't - at some point - used an illegal performance enhancing drug. They're easier to get now then they ever were.

Back on topic

Don't get it twisted, SD... I'm not saying that wrestlers never have or even currently don't use them.  I'm just saying that WWE has some sort of system in place to put some sort of regulation on it... and that they do punish the people they do catch like this guy.  Also, in the case of a guy like John Cena who you say looks like he's on it... he's the guy who's their current "champ" who represents their company so they'll be sure he's on the up and up.  If he's not... he won't be "champ".  Just a few months ago... they had another champion... Rob Van Dam (who was carrying two championship belts at the time)... who got busted with shtein in his car at a traffic stop.  They had him lose both titles in one night.  They hold the guy who's their "champion" to a pretty high standard.

Anyway... I agree that we need to get back on topic because:

1. We're hijacking the hell out of this thread
2. I've already revealed that I'm a lot more into pro wrestling than I should have... "IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMMIT!!!"

T-2 is on par with Godfather-2 in terms of best sequels ever.

I'm not saying it's as good as G-2 in terms of quality, just in terms of a sequel being superior to the original.  T-2 was an amazing movie from start to finish.

Easily one of the top-3 sci-fi movies ever.  In my opinion, anyway.

Is IGY arguing that The Devil Wears Prada is NOT a chick flick? What the farg?

Oh, and how hilariously predictable is it that our resident child chimed in on the WWE freak show?

QuoteMiller and Christensen Scenes "Not Real Sex"
Sienna Miller has laughed off claims her sex scenes in Factory Girl with co-star Hayden Christensen were real - insisting she's just a good actor. The rumors started after the pair became close during the shoot and were exacerbated on the film's release, when cinema-goers got to see graphic scenes of the couple cavorting. Director George Hickenlooper fueled speculation when quizzed if the sex was real, by replying, "I can't comment. You'll have to ask Sienna about it." But Miller is keen to quash the claims, her publicist insisting, "When you do a love scene there is a minimum of five people in the room. There's no real sex and the scene proves she knows how to give a good performance." The actress recently revealed she was terrified about watching the sex scenes at a screening of the film which she attended with her parents. She said, "I was sitting next to my dad and I just literally leant over and put my hands over (his eyes). It's quite embarrassing. I can't even watch it!"

I agree with the 5/10, though.  My wife read the book and did say the movie didn't stray much, so bonus points there.

why do people say this?  bonus points for staying true to the book.  if you want something that is exactly like the book, just read the farging book.

Shut up, or I will club you with my trusty elephant leg bone. The funny thing when I watched this movie with my wife, who is from Thailand, was terribly embarassed. I laughed harder at times to increase her shame.

So seriously, do those chicks cost a lot to ship over here or is it pretty reasonable?

it was super average....ive seen way worse movies lately...for instance it was way better than thank you for not smoking

like i said above it was basically the fashion world version of wall street....of course not nearly as well made or acted...and if i needed a reason to not see it that would be it...not because its a "chick flick"

I agree with this. And to add one, some people do the same thing on whether or not it was a "true" story.

What does something being "true" or true to the book, have anything do to with how good a movie is?
