At the risk of sounding incredible stupid, naive, or even worse, old, who is John Cena?

If I'm not mistaken, Vince McMahon (owner of WWE Wrestling) now owns his own movie making business as well. So they've been making movies with some of the wrestlers playing main characters. There was a horrow movie that came out over the summeer with the wrestler "Kane" in it, I can't think of the name though. It looked pretty much like any other pyscho-killer horror movie that comes out these days, so I didn't bother to see it in theaters. If/when they play it on TV, I'll give it a watch.

The Marine actually looked pretty good, but I again didn't bother.

Just think, if McMahon did this years ago, he could have held onto The Rock as a wrestler as well as an actor. He's a pretty good actor I think, The Scorpion King was pretty good, and that asian chick that was in it..... :o

the devil wears prada...it was a nice and watchable movie....merril streep clearly got nominated on name alone...she was good but hardly oscar worthy...stanley tucci was much better

5/10

The best performance of the movie was Emily Blunt.

I agree with the 5/10, though.  My wife read the book and did say the movie didn't stray much, so bonus points there.

I'm going to go wash the gay off me now.

i have no idea who emily blunt is but noone in that movie was better than tucci who is usually the best in whatever he does...certainly he would never get out acted by someone called emily blunt

Tucci was good as usual.  He is a very underrated actor.

However, Emily Blunt stole every scene in which she performed.

Anyway, agree to disagree.  If we argue this point any further, we'll be drinking tropical sissy drinks and eating cream of mushroom soup at tailgates before we know it.

I do think Cena is one of the few guys who isn't roiding up. He's pretty average sized, probably a little small for a wrestler anymore, and it's not that hard to look cut. Hell I look cut, but I'm really not that strong. It's just a matter of lifting lighter weights with more reps.

"Performance enhancers" like creatine and such when it comes to lifting? I'm sure he does...but real 'roids? Eh, he doesn't really look like the type.

If they were so good at hiding the guys who are usin Roids, then the wrestlers like Batista  wouldn't look the way they do...
You call Cena average sized? Now that's funny. He's 240 and lean, sorry, but no one has genetics that great. I talk to a lot of 'roid heads' at my local gym, they stick out like a sore thumb. It's not like the WWE tests for the shtein.

Was gonna rent it but my g/f told me it was a chick flick and that I probably wouldn't like it.

Actually, the WWE does test for 'roids now.  Been doing it for about a year or two now.  They got really serious about it after the death of Eddie Guerrero.

That is incredibly not accurate.

its a movie about losing yourself and then finding yourself again...just because the lead character is a female does not make it a chick flick

is wall street a chick flick?

because dwp is the same movie but it takes place in the fashion world instead of the financial world

its sexist to say that its a chick flick just because it has mostly woman in it...youre basically saying a female cant like a movie like wall street more than devil wears prada and thats wrong

Ha.  True that... but since they've started, there's been at least two wrestlers who've been suspended and/or fired for using 'roids.

Well then I stand corrected - there are a ton of masking agents. Do you know how much a steroid test costs? Not to mention, they can't test for HGH. they're not very hard to beat.

QuoteThe WWE promised to test wrestlers for steroids. However, the policy, as boasted on ESPN Outside the Lines, is only testing based on appearance. That's right, if a wrestler LOOKS like he's on the juice, the WWE will test him.
I seriously doubt any wrestler today hasn't - at some point - used an illegal performance enhancing drug. They're easier to get now then they ever were.

Whoa there, IGY.  Calm down.  I never said that a "chick flick" could not have value for a heterosexual man.  Did I not just a few posts ago agree that I generally liked the movie, too?

A "chick flick" to me is a movie designed to be marketed primarily to women, not a movie designed ONLY for women.
