I suppose you could look at it that way.  I just didn't find the different comedians' varieties to be all that different.

Finally saw Snakes On A Plane. F'n loved it. Then again, I'd rent Sam Jackson reading the friggin' phonebook. 3.5/5

You're in luck.  He's going to narrate the movie "Farce of the Penguins".

I know. I saw the trailer for it. I'm looking forward to it. It looks f'n funny.  :=)
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

I just watched The Toxic Avenger.

1,000,000/5

It ruled.

More like 1,000,000,000,000/5. One of the best cinematic efforts in the history of Hollywood.

I watched Miami Vice last night which actually warrants a post in the Bitching thread. Why the farg would you have farg scenes without boobs? But the movie was bad for more reasons than just that.

Oh, also saw Crank last week. The beginning, with the jumping camera and heart shots were pissing me off, but, I got used to it and the movie was awesome. I was laughing my ass off quite a few times, damn near tears, especially after he jacked himself full of epinephrine and was running down the street on the phone with his lawyer ("Check") and when he was trying to get his woman to do it on the sidewalk.

And nothing beats that final scene. I clicked back and watched it about 5 times.

Watching paint dry is more appealing that watching a remake that should never have been made in the first place.

And I usually love Michael Mann movies but that one was an awful idea from the get-go.

I got Michael Mann confused with Michael bay and was about to go off.

What really blows about this version of Miami Vice is that they could have made a campy, sort of fun, 80s style movie and it would have been enjoyable. Instead they put two pretty boys trying to act tough in a movie that took it self way too seriously. farging gay.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

So basically follow the same formula for Starsky and Hutch.

And the Dukes of Hazard. And Charlie's Angels.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I watched Crank as well last night.

It was a dope flick but I was not moved in any one way emotionally. I wasn't too amped, it wasn't really suspenseful. It was cool as heck. The premise, some of the outlandish shtein he was doing...and his girlfriend I also wanted to bang in public.

It's a 4 out of 5 for sure...but it didn't pull me in any way. Kind of like sex with someone that doesn't attract you. It's good, but not much else.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

I'm waiting for the remake of Manimal.

MURP

District B13:   :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead   The french "crank" if you will.  Total action and insanity.   Story gets a little slowed down after a while.  Great action none the less.

Eagles_Legendz

Saw Alpha Dog.

Kind of have mixed feelings on it.  The acting for the most part is pretty good--especially Justin Timberlake of all people--but I could never quite buy Emile Hirsch as the ringleader of the gang.

The director also tries to be too 'creative' making the movie seem like a pseudo-documentary with fake interviews AND it lasts about 20 minutes longer than it should.

I do think it packed a pretty good punch though, and is probably worth looking.

3/5

ice grillin you

saw layer cake...formulaic drug caper film like many others in recent years....basically is was a vehicle for the writer/director to say that hes smarter than the viewer by throwing in "crazy" plot twists...

not impressed

especially with the very end where the film took it a step to far by trying to be sooper dooper surprising...which is saying something for these kinds of films

i felt like ive seen this movie ten times before

5/10
