i saw The Dukes of Hazzard on HBO the other day.

the car stunts were cool, Jessica Simpson was ungodly hot, and the Supertroopers reference was funny...

overall, it wasn't as horrible as i expected and there were some parts where i laughed.

Saw The Departed on Saturday.  Very, very good.  I generally don't like DiCaprio, out of general principle, and I can't really buy him as an ass-kicking tough guy-- but he did a good job, nonetheless.  Actually, I thought all of the acting was solid.  I tend to be pretty rough on movies since I don't get the opportunity to see many in actual theaters, but I had no regrets about seeing this one.

Agreed. It was my first time watching it too. Jessica Simpson is indeed a hot piece. Too bad she's fargin Tony Romo now.

Rome

Jessica was indeed hot in the Dukes movie.  I watched it but only the parts she was in and only with the sound muted.

With that in mind...

Five stars out of five.

Anyone see Will Ferrell's new movie?

It doesn't look like it's in the same vein of comedy as all his others....but I'm still interested in hearing if it was any good or not.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I saw Running With Scissors tonight. Meh meh meh. Some good individual performances but there was no main story thread to follow. Just a snapshot of insanity manifested in 6 or 7 different ways with a focus on none of the crazy characters.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I'm a Will Ferrell fan but I've also been getting kind of sick of him lately.  His recent movies, while entertaining have all been made up from the same formula with the same jokes.  Since this new movie looks completely different than all his others I'll probably go check it out.

Any movie that wants to show Beyonce and Eva Longoria in lesbo scenes with each other is a movie that I want to see.  Preferably alone.  With lotion.

Phanatic

I wonder how many lotions that movie will get! Infinity?

QuoteA BBC-TV version four years ago caused outrage in Britain due to graphic love scenes that included sex toys

We can only hope the movie version does the same.
