If you want to slit your wrists while watching the Wedding Crashers, id like to know what kind of masochistic gore spree you would enjoy with some of the other movies out there.

MURP

Glengarry Glen Ross-  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead -  great flick.  all parts played quite well.  Alec Baldwin was classic.

Cincinatti Kid-  :cfhead :cfhead 1/2 good oldschool poker flick with Steve McQueen.

Derailed-  :cfhead 1/2    too predictable.  Vincent Cassel was good. Aniston miscast. Rza acted like a homo.  Wu Tang is ashamed.  Xzibit should give his earnings back.

Infernal Affairs-   :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead-  excellent chinese mafia/cop flick.  Scorsese is remaking it with a bigtime A list cast for later this year.

i dont ever see him topping that.  He did do a similar type character as far as dialogues go in "Made".. which he did a great job in IMO.   Favreau wrote that also so I think we see the pattern there.

Just saw Magnolia. farging fantastic.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I had always liked Snatch and Lock Stock roughly evenly. But I now own Lock Stock and watch it kind of regularly. I watched Snatch last night for the first time in a couple of years and the two don't even compare. Lock Stock is noticeably better.

In fact, you take the last 15-20 minutes out of Snatch and it wouldn't really be all that great of a movie. Bullet Tooth Tony talking shtein and Mickey the Pike's final boxing match made it awesome.

Wife had "Prime" on last night while I was studying.  The only real redeeming quality was a small role by supermodel Mini Anden, who I'd love to boink.  Otherwise, it dragged on and wasn't even accidentally funny.  Plus, it tries hard to be special and have the unconventional "poignant" ending.  Blech.  Avoid at all costs.

1.5/5 because of her:

Yeah, I know she's the standard tall, anorexic model with tiny titties, but she plays a loose bitch in the movie, and that makes her hot.  Right?

made is an excellent movie.

swingers is a classic, vaughn wont be topped in that movie, probably never. and i enjoyed wedding crashers.

it seems to me that there are people in this thread that take comedies way too seriously. no comedy should be held to the same standards as a biopic, or drama...

I agree completely. But within the comedy genre there certainly is a whole lot a variation in quality.

VV in Swingers vs. VV now is kind of silly to me. He's a completely different kind of actor now than he was then... but the one thing he's always had an always will have is ridiculously good comedic timing and presense. Swingers and Wedding Crashers are classics and he made them what they are.
