a history of violence was so lame, changing identities is not difficult if your in the mob or have a ton of money to do it. 

other parts that were unbeliveable:

why wouldn't the FBI be involved if 5 gangbangers from philly were all killed in a small town in bumblefarg, the same week.  not really suspicious is it?
he lies to his wife about being the person he is, kills 3 people and then bangs her on the wooden steps. all within 15 minutes. cut me a farging break.  (i also realize this is the awesomest thing ever) totally unrealistic.
at the end he kills his brother and henchmen.  the links between the ones killed in philly and the ones killed in bumblefarg. like that would draw any attention.  he just goes back home and has meat and taters with his hairy wife and lives a normal life ever after.
like i said a history of crap. there u now know the movie. go buy it.
