Waiting could've been much better.  i never really laughed, and i've had at least 4 beers tonight and no dinner.

the new guy's rant at the end was funny though.

You've either never worked in food service, or you need shock therapy.

i don't need to work in food service, i get the jokes, they just weren't well executed.  i mean there were funny parts, but it wasn't on par with Office Space

I just got done watching Clerks on DVD.  i'd never seen the DVD so i didn't know it had an alternate ending, but it does, and it's kinda messed up.

Wife and I watched "Just Friends" last night.  It was actually mildly amusing throughout the whole film.  Ryan Reynolds in a fat suit and Anna Faris playing a Britney Spears-like pop star... could be worse.

It never is hilarious, but it's better than a total sappy romantic comedy.

I'll give it a 3/5 and suggest you rent the DVD, so you can check out the deleted scenes.

Saw Wedding Crashers last night.  The old lady made me.  It re-affirmed my aversion to movies.  First one I've watched this year and once again I felt like the time would have been better spent playing NFL2K5.

Just finished Hotel Rwanda. Uplifting, is not how I would describe it. Carrying out large scale genocide with machetes is pretty goddamned intense.

Sure is.  Just ask anyone in Darfur, or on Chad's border with Sudan.  Not that anyone really cares, of course.

Watched Jarhead today. It was good. Very good in a way. Very slow and almost boring in another way. Good acting all around, but the story could have used a little work.

Jake G's character basically made a jump from unsure about his military life/decision, to borderline homocidal for no discernable reason and I felt like the movie could have done a better job of building towards that change. Other than that, though. Very good.

funny you said that about Jarhead... after watching it I couldnt really determine if it was really good or somewhat bad.

MadMarchHare

J Foxx was supposed to make Jarhead worthwhile.  That true?
Anyone but Reid.

Foxx was excellent. Like I said, the acting throughout was great.

Watched the original The Hills Have Eyes last night. Very creepy. Scary in the way that 70s movies were great at. Didn't rely on effects, just plain old terrifying situations. Suspenseful the whole way through.
