Well, I haven't really seen it, so I'm not sure what camp I'd be in. That said, I wasn't impressed with the ten minutes I saw.  So, if that qualifies me for your attempt at mutilation, happy hunting.

i never really seen it...except for once kind of...i had never heard of it and was in a little zesty bar in middlebury vt two summers ago and there were a gang of people around this tv hyena laughing and reciting lines to it...

it was right then that i told myself i will never EVER watch this movie

Well no. 8 Mile is pure comedy genius.

its not white comedies per se tho i abhor most of them...its the comedies that wannabe witty college kids proclaim the funniest movie ever and whos status is determined while watching the movie by how many of the lines they can recite seven seconds before they are spoken

then the lines become gay little inside jokes at frat partys 

fletch is the only movie of this kind that i can tolerate but even my love for that is ruined by idiots...many of which are friends of mine



oh an 8 mile was a very good movie with a bangin score and the hottest slutiest character in movie history

Fletch is one of the funniest movier ever.

But Napolean is not just an "inside" joke.  And is a totally different kind of humor than "Fletch", or really anything else ever made.  It's rarely LOL hilarious super awesome, but it's consistently awkward and amusing.
