i saw march of the penguins yesterday.  meh.  might as well have watched a discovery channel show.  it's not bad but i'm not sure what the whole buzz this year was about.  just because morgan freeman narrated it?  anyway, i fell asleep for the last half hour, need to watch the rest of it today i guess.

i watched 40 year old virgin again last night...and it was even funnier.

King Kong  :cfhead :cfhead 1/2

Went way overboard with the CGI/Special effects IMO. Too many 'close calls' and unbelievable escapes for my liking.

You wouldn't like it. Very few car chases and not enough explosions.

The man. The myth. The legend.

The prequels went overboard with the CGI/Special effects, but the setting of the movie is in a galaxy far, far, away. Just didn't think the Dinosaurs, Kong, or any other creature on the island was that believable. Was a little too 'Hulk' like for my taste. I preferred the 70's version to tell you the truth.

Butchers Bill

Saw "The Ringer" this weekend.  It was ok, but I was disappointed to see Knoxville sell out to make the movie "PC".

I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

Rome

I saw "Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - Live From The Hammersmith Odeon 1975" yesterday.

My wife got it for me for Christmas along with the updated Born To Run CD.

farging awesome concert movie.  Man, Bruce was incredible live back in those days.  He's still great but I wish I'd had the chance to see him live back then.  Just amazing.

:yay
