Dude, if you think The Hulk is the worst movie ever made, you haven't watched enough movies.....

Its the king of awful movies and nothing will ever convince me otherwise. To steal a line from rjs, that movie should be thrown into the sun.

I'd like to submit Boondock Saints, which for some reason has a massive cult following, as the worst movie ever made.

that movie ate my ass. i'm all Irish and get 100x drunker than a normal person and that movie still ate it big time. unless you're a douchebag in high school who is easily impressed with movies trying to act like a Tarantino movie and failing miserably.

Oh, and those two dudes are obviously flaming homos.

How this awful movie has a cult following is beyond me. All these kids with horrible taste in movies have deemed it their 'Pulp Fiction', while the whole movie is trying to be different just for the sake of being different, yes doesn't even know it's played out and horribly acted.

You're both nuts, Boondock Saints was a great flick. How you can be Irish and not like that movie is beyond me. Do you hate Guinness and St. Patty's day too?

Eagles_Legendz

No, actually I AM Irish, and my favorite beer is Guinness.  But that's like saying because I'm Irish I should also root for ND.   :boo

The movie was terrible.  The plot made NO sense, there were 1000 holes, it was terribly acted, and the action sequences weren't even good.  I can enjoy stylish movies with little substance, but that movie tried to be an offbreed, as phattymatt said, of Pulp Fiction, and failed miserably in my opinion.

C'mon now, Star Wars Episode I and probably II (haven't seen III yet) are easily worse than the Hulk.
Anyone but Reid.

Wha-Wha-What?!?!  EP1 and 2 were somewhat disappointing but were far and away better than the Hulk. Even the crappy love scenes in EP2 were better than any part of the Hulk.

Point taken, but what part of the plot didn't you understand? Aside from citing a prayer before killing their victims I don't see the Pulp Fiction comparison.

i don't think anyones argueing boondock saints should of won an oscar.  its more of a comic book type action movie.  there no other way to describe it other than awesome.  i agree the acting was subpar and the plot was pretty cheesy.  but so was predator, so was die hard and so was lethal weapon.  but that doesn't mean those movies sucked.  they were just awesome because of how ridiculous the movie actually was.

Pulp Fiction is about style.  I think Boondock Saints was attempting to be a different type of action movie, with a type of witty dialogue and amped up action scenes.  I'm not saying it has a direct relation to Pulp in terms of anything that happens in the movie, just that I think it imitates its style and fails.

I just don't see the point of most of the characters in the movie.  Their father who randomly shows up and has some connection to the mob who can't control him, and is released and magically turns out to be their father.  The point of Willem Dafoe's character at all?  Any scenes with the cops.  The point of the bartender?  I didn't buy their reason to start killing people, and then, killing all people including those who watch strippers?  We're supposed to root for them?  And I found the movie boring for the most part, which in my opinion that was the greatest fault of it.

Plenty of people I know like the movie, and maybe I just don't "get it", but I don't see the fascination with the movie.  Anyone is welcome to like the movie, I certainly won't stop you, but I just don't like it very much.

like i said before...your judging an action movie like a Oscar worthy drama or something.

The Father was injected into the end of the movie to provide an ironic twist.

An 'out there' rebellious homosexual cop who can re-enact crime scenes while listening to opera. I thought his character was somewhat original and very funny.

The Russian mob coming into the MacManus brothers local dive and taking over was motivation to become vigilantes. Their neighborhood was becoming mob infested so they decided to take the law into their own hands. 'Boondock Saints' - They were 'Saints' because they were ridding their neighborhood of crime and evil. They were religous so they felt like they were doing Gods work.

I'll admit the acting wa so so and the plot could have been better, but no one here is comparing to the Godfather.

I like Guiness and my birthday is on St. patty's day, so yes, I'm a little fond of that holiday.  And I'd go into more detail about why that movie ate grundle but Eagles Legendz hit the nail on the head.  I agree with him 100%.  And I like some movies that are so ridiculous they're good, like in the Army of Darkness way, but this movie isn't trying to be ridulous on purpose.  It just sucks.

Took my grandaughter and her aunt to NYC to see "Wicked" today for their Xmas present.  I know it's musical and not a movie but if any of you have teenage daughters it's worth the trip :yay  I thought it was awesome ;)

Mr. Mrs Smith-  :cfhead   sucked hard.

The Island-  :cfhead :cfhead 1/2   -  Had a lot more potential until the second half of the movie where Michael Bay went nuts with his crazy action scenes.  The overall plot/theme was very interesting.

I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith this weekend too.  I wouldn't say it sucked, but it's definitely not a good movie.  It was mindlessly entertaining though.
