In the last two weeks I've seen Kill Bill, Donnie Darko, and an episode of David the Gnome where David dies. Kill Bill was enjoyable as a whole, but I thought the ending credits were better than the final fight scene. Donnie Darko was surprisingly good. That episode of David the Gnome was kinda farged up.

The man. The myth. The legend.

"Kicking and Screaming" -- Unfunny garbage.  Major disappointment for the most part.  2/5.
"Fever Pitch" -- Meh, not awful.  Would be a classic if I liked the Red Sux.  3/5.

Anyone else plan on catching 'Walk the line' when it comes out? Any other Johnny Cash fans out there?

Love Cash- the only "country" I will listen to.

Not sure about the movie.  Is it a true biopic, or something tabloid-ish designed to sell tickets?

From the reviews I'm reading it looks like they're focusing on the early years of his life (30 and younger)

rjs246

I just put in the Dawn of the Dead remake and the first ten minutes kicked just as much ass as I remembered.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

LSB went to see Doom tonight. Maybe he'll give a review when he returns...

I walked through the movie store just now. The last thing I saw was the box to Driven. I laughed. This is all.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Yeah, I'll go see it. Afraid it might drag a bit, but I liked alot of the other similar movies that are a little older, like La Bamba, Great Balls of Fire, Buddy Holly Story, etc. Plus Reese as a countryfied sassy mouth brunette makes me feel funny in my stomach.  :paranoid

Sidebar: My parents went to see Cash and the Carter Family in the 70's or late 60's or something way back then, and went to eat at the Marriot on City Line Ave afterwards. It was apparently a hot spot back then, with a Polynesian themed restaurant and stuff  (Across from where Fridays and the Adams Mark are). My Dad sees June Carter or some of her sisters at a booth across the restaurant, and grabs a pen and placemat and heads their way. Halfway there a large black man rises from his seat blocking his path. Assuming its security or something, he says "Excuse me, I'm just going to ask them for their autograph"  and never looks the man in the face, keeping his eyes fixated on the Carter clan. The man takes his seat clearing the way.

My Mom and their friends inform his sorry ass that the guy was Muhammed Ali who rose to sign his placemat. No, he didn't go back.

Question?

Anyone seen Jarhead or Corpse Bride?

The NFL old standard.
